Sporadic 2844 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I made myself a zombie horse that could jump 20 blocks high. yolo. I didn't know GMs figured out how to alter the jump speed of horses. Are you sure this is happening (beyond some kind of mass spawning and cherry-picking of specimens)? The regular jump speed of vanilla horses can become rather high, I suppose. Horses with 25 hearts and jump height of 10 blocks do not spawn normally in MC.
Uberelitehax 1 Share Posted April 10, 2014 All horses have three "equine stats" which vary from horse to horse: health, jump height and (maximum) speed. The stats are created once the horse is born and are not affected by food. The different horse types use different formulas for each: Health runs from 15 to 30, with most around the average of 22.5. Jump strength is from 0.4 to 1.0 in internal units (but tending toward the average of 0.7.) The above applies to naturally spawned horses. When breeding two horses, the foal's stats are determined by averaging both parent's stats with a third set, randomly determined as above. (That is, add both parents' stats with the random value, and divide by 3). Straight from the minecraft wiki. As you can see here the stats that you are scared of don't need to be spawned in and can spawn in naturally.
MamaBearJade 2090 Author Share Posted April 11, 2014 the 15-30 represents half hearts. I wrote the guide on horse breeding. God horses HAVE to be spawned in. Here is the official showing of what 15 health and 30 health equals. Jump heights units convert to 1.5 blocks to 5.5 blocks.
Uberelitehax 1 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Oh. I have not seen a single person use a horse to get over a wall. And I was involved in the countless defenses of vekaro. To think of it I had not even seen a single horse in that battle.
Cjmate 1270 Share Posted April 11, 2014 I personally think that anything over two blocks risks breaking the horse's legs, either by fault or by accident. Ten blocks is ridiculous. Walls for most settlements can be jumped over at ten blocks, especially in weaker parts. It's just silliness to me.
Sky 0 Share Posted April 11, 2014 When a horse is spawned in, despite that something that isn't supposed to be happening, the horse's specs are random. Unless cloned off of another horse, then it has the exact same specs. There is no GM actually spawning "God Horses". As for GMs spawning horses, I cannot speak of this, but there is a 100% no-refunds with horses.

Cappy 1599 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Check with frott sky. You actually have to spawn these in. He tested it out yesterday hun ^^Do you know what commands he used to do it? I'd love to do a log check to find out who's doing it.
nppeck 601 Share Posted April 11, 2014 I don't actually know any command that allows for specifically spawned super horses so I doubt this was intentional. /spawnmob and egg horses spawn with random stats I'm fairly certain

Lyuin 65 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Perhaps we should decrease the jump height of horses but increase their spawn rates? Then military groups can use horses to a greater extent. I.E: Patrolling on horseback, jousting, use in wars to make outflanks or to close with enemy missile troups. ...I mean...that'd solve the super horsey problem and make it less desirable to have a horse thus lowering the chances of them being spawned? MamaBearJade 2090 Author Share Posted April 11, 2014 I dont know what he used. I told him about the horses and said they had to be spawned in. He was curious and tried to figure out how its done.I heard him mumbling random spawn commands but didnt get the full bitsomething like spawn mob god horsenot 100% sure. However we did kill it after he saw what exactly I was talking about. He even agreed it had to be spawned in as they are not naturally spawning horses and they are ALWAYS white

MamaBearJade 2090 Author Share Posted April 11, 2014 It's just a horse, jade. It's not a big deal. Actually it is a big deal. Even when I had them, i refused to breed and give them to anyone, why? Cause imagine, you build up 8 block high walls. HUGE walls that are glitch proof. In comes 5 ARMORED ORCS on said horses. See anything wrong with it yet?
