Sky 0 Share Posted May 10, 2014 Alright, so I was going to make this update with a video but this led to that and it was just making me postpone this announcement, which is something that may or may not have a negative effect on the work load. Anyway, so I wanted to make this public so that the community can see it happen and so that everyone is aware of what's going on. So basically I was thinking this over for a long while now, back when Lanader took the team over I was considering that this might be a much needed option, and then when Gaberiel and I took over, I offered it as a plan B and it just sat there. Since I took over solo leadership of the team, I did wonder what would happen if I did this and truth be told, I imagined a lot of negativity but that just comes with the purple tag nowadays. So, without anymore kicking around the bush, I will just get to it and deal with the aftermath. The Media Team is being purged, completely. All current members are being removed as of this post. But rest assured, those who reapply to the team will be given an answer to their application no more than 24 hours from applying. That goes for everyone as well, from this point on, all applications that get submitted will have a 24 hour guarantee of being accepted or denied. gabriel101x1 463 Share Posted May 10, 2014 It's a nice idea in theory, but personally I don't really see it making much difference at all, especially if you end up hiring back some of the old members. You've literally re-added 90% of the people who were part of the team before this purge (including those responsible for that horribly cringe worthy LoTC News video). How is this a new Media Team? Rhia 936 Share Posted May 11, 2014 Media team needs to learn to take constructive criticism. Not just tell people to back off. The things you make represent this server, quality is important. If you make something and its not great... don't release it. Spend more time on it and refine it. You want the players support then I suggest you earn it and try to see things from their point of view. That being said....
