Helvetius 314 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Just my opinion, but I firmly believe that the current system was going well. The majority rules has also been a huge plus for both RPers and PvPers to me. Roleplaying groups who walk around to provide RP now can suddenly just be PvP defaulted. Also why have safe-zones been added to the capitals? First of all, this is completely unfair to any smaller settlements or nations emerging (not part of any). Also, why in the world are you promoting the seperation of roleplayers and PvPers? Why are you dividing the playerbase further with safe-zones (Which they will. Towns will be in safe-zones all the time while others will always be in pvp, having like 5 raids a day)? Just my opinion, but I think these new pvp rules and war rules are terrible and I would love to have them returned back to the way they were. Don't divide the community more with safe-zones and don't make rules that make it extremely hard for any RP Defaulters outside of 'safe-zones'. Yes, we have a lot of PvPers on this server. However why make this more difficult for the 25-40% of players who still love RP Default with rules that will decrease the RP Default lover population down further (Aka leaving for some)? I don't like seeing things being fixed that don't need fixing and will just make it worse. Now you could say RP defaulters can live in the city, but what if they people there in OOC and/or in RP don't like them? Now they have to live in a foreign city, culture, amongst people they may not even like in OOC or RP. They can't live in a small village anymore because suddenly they have to have large merc groups defending it in which they can't afford. Basically, it has made the making of villages or towns more towards large groups of friends already existing with a large pvp stomach. Now of course roleplayers shouldn't quit cause suddenly they don't have their little special town, but at they same time they shouldn't be forced by server rules (OOC)to change most of what they do suddenly.
Thatpyrodude 2008 Share Posted May 12, 2014 You should clarify what yes means and what no means, and I think these are great changes.

Samsan99 274 Share Posted May 12, 2014 I just.. i mean during a war a system like this might be good but only during a full out war i think just now people will get daily maybe every few hours raids for people with OOC against them just to piss them off or just to horde more items now that we no longer have nodrop. Yes all region owners will get this in 4.0 but untill than only the nations can offer this, We cant even use some of the changes until 4.0 to protect ourselfs but the other side has full access to their rules
RK9ify 86 Share Posted May 12, 2014 I know the staff can't devote themselves to the server because they got their own stuff to do, and their trying to please as many players as they can, but I have to agree, we need the old system.
Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted May 14, 2014 The fact that roleplay has been spread out from the fringe merits the fact that raiders should be allowed to attack smaller settlements without restrictions. Doing so will encourage players to go to safe zone capitals. No matter what change or clarification has been proposed, players will complain.
Helbolt 129 Share Posted May 15, 2014 The 1 day we had of the new rules before they got changed for a 2nd time. I want that.
Terafir 90 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Raid rules I'm unsure of. I do like the reinstatement of some restrictions. Everyone seems fine with it at its current state. War rules are kinda weird right now, I don't quite know what is going on with them. I believe its the same as the way it was before except that places with regions require OOC consent. So, basically, a pointless change. The default rules I would like back to the way they were, with majority getting their choice. It seemed to me like we had less arguments overall. I mean, we switched from rp absolute default to pvp absolute default and everyone started yelling. We then slid into majority choice default and nobody said a word. Now that we're going back into PvP absolute default everyone's yelling again. My point is that there seemed to be less yelling and complaining when majority rules. And considering the Pvp/RP default survey a long while back showed that LotC was split down the middle for both defaults, majority per situation is the best solution. Samler 1565 Share Posted May 15, 2014 I am still not too sure what I think of about the raiding stuff, seeing it means little to nothing to me, I pay it no mind. The Pvp/RP thing on the other hand, does. And I would highly suggest that we could go back to the last system with the majority per situation to chose, if it's 50/50, PvP. Seeing it as I myself hate PvP, it's boring, clumsy and not fun, bringing little to the story as I see it. Yet I had some cases myself where I would rather just PvP it out, but I myself prefer RP as it can make some fun small things happen. Of course not all have the same way, some enjoy this PvP for reasons I don't understand, and they shall be allowed, but don't wack us with these new rules, so please bring back the old rules. :/
