Arden roots through his chest as he hears the news, the disbanding of the Lucien Order. At first he is surprised, filled with questions, but no one seems to have any answers for him. He looks through his chest again, this time thinking more objectively as he packs a single knapsack with anything he deems essential. His mind is in a flurry of disbelief and before he even realizes it, he's at the front door of the chapel. He looks down at his tabard as a sickening feeling creeps into his stomach. He looks up at the stained glass wall he was never quite fond of, and speaks to it as though it were the Order itself, "I was never fond of everything you did, but at heart you were everything I believed, everything I wanted the world to see. I'm glad I was around until the end." Words stick in his throat and he turns to the door as he decides what he has said to be enough. Arden removes his white tunic and folds it neatly, admiring the red cross before tucking it away and walking outside and into the world beyond. What lies ahead is unclear to him, and faith is his last guiding light. He takes one last look at the church before turning and walking out of the city.
