I was recently informed TNT was removed from lore in Anthos and is not to be made available.to players.

 

For this reason, TNT will not  be craftable when 4.0 hits.

Please don't do that. TNT is the ultimate goal of a tinker, might as well take out the tinkering profession if all we can do is make pistons and torches.

T'was made so in Anthos, I unfortunately wasn't aware. Sorry for getting your hopes up. Poke Tythus or Alan about it I suppose.

 

There's another very nice perk for tinkers you may soon discover, though.

Tinker is all but a useless profession, 1 perk won't be worth getting when you can go level something like fishing and fish up gear, or farm to get blocks..

I think TnT would be intresting. What we could do is make TnT possible to be made By almost anyone, but if you'r not skilled in it, theirs a chance it has an unpredictable blowup time (.5 seconds to 20 seconds) or it may not ignite at all. The higher your skill, the more predictable the blowup time and a lower chance of failure-to-ignite

 But something that may happen if we add cannons, is that overtime, nations will create smaller and more effective cannons, until we get guns.

I don't understand why we can't have TNT. The reason in Anthos was that there was no gunpowder available to make explosives. Why can't we have it in 4.0? There was no issue with it in Asulon, and it had no reason to be removed in 3.0. Give it back in 4.0, please. It only creates RP and gives tinkers a true purpose and value.

The reason it was essentially removed was because in one battle between the Dwarves and the Teutonic Order, Hochmeister Mirtok set off a chain of explosives underground that decimated the entire Dwarven force. Raging ensued and lore was messed with, In the end, RP was voided and gunpowder/cannons pronounced non-existent by the staff. One bad battle ended up ruining it for everyone.

I laughed my ass off when it happened in the video and the battle. Those were legitly set and they fell for the trap and I don't think it is reason for its removal.
