Birdwhisperer 1174 Share Posted July 18, 2014 For many years Elorna had struggled and strained to raise the wood elves up to a place of worth and respect. Under Malinor, in Leanniel, and with Haelun'or she'd strove to carve out a place in the world where her people would be strong, secure, and at peace. A few times strength and security were achieved, but as she had learned many times over in her own life... nothing lasts. The small druid clutched at her chest as a wave of wracking coughs overtook her. It had started small enough, much like the current strife that plagued the elves. Yet now it threatened to consume everything. Murdered dedicants in the grove, splinter factions of elves popping up everywhere, unrest from within, even threats to her own family. She shook her head, trying to suppress another cough. It was too much, she felt, too much for her to possibly resolve on her own. "Nothing lasts," she muttered as she huffed her way up a wooded hill to a plain white tent. "It will pass," she said to comfort herself as she paused to catch her breath and look over the unfinished walls that encircled her silent district. The words turned against her and cut like knives as she spoke them. Perhaps this sickness would pass, but what of the home her people had formed? She did not know. Her eyes watered as more harsh, wet coughs forced her to stop her climb. Perhaps Haelun'or would change and somehow manage to keep the elves together. Perhaps these other groups would rise up stronger and better than any other elven nation had been before. Yet, it seemed to her, that what loomed ahead was another age of squalor as the elven race was scattered to the wind. "Aspects help us..." she whispered between coughs. The Dove Druid resumed her climb up the steep slope, fighting for each breath, driven by her worried fears. When she reached the tent she drew the flaps closed and the darkness and silence and loneliness pained her more than her sharp, ragged breathing and aching chest. Basically, Elorna is sick and might not be out and about as often as usual. No, I'm not leaving or PKing her or anything. However, I've had some IRL things pop up recently that make it hard to log on as frequently and focus on all this political RP. I (and Elorna) will still be around, just not as much. So, my excuse for why Elorna might not be able to deal with all this is that her health is failing. Good luck all ye elves! Don't screw up!
OhDeerLord 673 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Dwyn had been worried when he heard her coughing while they talked, but when he heard of Elorna taking leave in order to better her own health, all he could do was wish her well and hope that nothing exploded while she wasn't around. 'boom' "Damnit- HIRIX! Stop that!"
WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Artimec is going to find Elorna and send her a get well muffin basket with a note attached saying: "I told you so." He then sets to pack up some of his supplies. There was little reason to remain in haelunor now. Zealots, extremists, murderers, cowards. The elf hated what both haelunor and the separatists stood for. He was on no one's side but his own.
