A Father's Pride

As the orcs finished up their labors for the day, and the moon rose, Malog'Yar was seen carrying his new cub out of the back gate of the camp. Those who looked would have seen that the cub's right eye appeared to be rotting out of his head. The dull yellow iris sat in a black pus, and was still visible through the holes in the festering eyelid. Any orcs roaming the camp that night would've noticed Malog atop a high hill near the camp, shouting guttural, slurred chants into the night, and dancing in barbaric rituals. Periodically throughout the rituals, Malog appeared to be dipping his cub down into something, though from the camp, one couldn't tell what it was. His savage, Old Blah chants resounded for all the camp to hear.

"Orgon kul fha! Thrakuzat tab fha zharbtur urukuz! Marzh grumbull nagraufom gajat! Dhomaju agh ztarkoku gozt! Mauzhat prazog! Vadok thrakubat hrizg armaukukuz urukobu agh Orgonob!"

Chanting, roaring and drumbeats echoed all throughout the night, and his ritualistic dancing intensified as the hour grew later. The chanting and dancing stopped only when Malog descended the hill at strange intervals to slay the undead monsters of the night, and drag their rotting carcasses back up the hill. He then continued his worship after dropping the flesh at the top of the hill. The next morning, anyone who approached the spot would see a pit filled with a foul slime. Hunks of decaying flesh float in the sludge, and a strange fungus spreads around the pit over a small area.

((I am not an orc, but am pretty curious, what?!))

((I'll gladly explain to an extent. Malog is a devout worshiper of Orgon, the orcish spirit of disease. He's a very loyal member of the cult of Orgon http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/109667-the-cult-of-orgon/ . There's kind of a long story behind the cub's eye, but Malog has reason to believe that the eye is a mark, indicating some spiritual significance related to Orgon. As you can see, Orgon worship isn't the prettiest religion at all, but Malog has a connection to that spirit.))

((Edit: Also, the language spoken in the chant is not the usual orcish language. It's called the True Blah or Old Blah. It's the language of the spirits, and is used by shamans in their practices.))

((Oh okay! I was thinking that slime and stuff was what was left of his cub along with other blech stuff.))

((Nope. The pit is actually what the Cult or Orgon simply calls a cesspit. The slime is an important substance used in Orgon worship, and is summoned directly from Orgon's home in the spirit realm.))
