I know that when a drake perishes, it's body slowly tarnishes and disintegrates to the point where it's practically unrecognizable, but I have heard that there are a few who have been lucky enough to procure a scale or two off it's dying body. hex37 737 Share Posted July 23, 2014 *A note is written on the notice board.* "Drakes are the result of a dragon's total and complete corruption by dark magic. This weakens their scales, and causes their entire body to disintegrate upon death. The only way to procure a scale without it disintegrating would be to steal it from a drake without killing it.
