Fishing And Arenas

So what I loved the most was that fact that in the previous map we had a plug in that allowed us to catch different kinds of fish that had different effects, different areas carried different ones as well. Granted I love the drops we can get down as a fisher, but it would add a whole new level of fun for the fishing past time.

 

Perhaps the higher your skill the more likely you'll catch rarer fish that have amazing effects, a great reward for those that fish because if anyone has done it, it takes a long long time to level up and lots of patience. Myself find it soothing and relaxing to do, but I got excited on the last map with that plug in. Put it back in in 4.0 please?

 

 

Arenas: So people like the PVP, that's why we have people raiding and challenging each other. On other servers however there were Arena's, Coliseums, and Game zones that people could compete against each other and it was a lot of fun. Some of us don't mind PVP but at the same time don't like being killed in the world, so a place where we can go and pit ourselves against each other for sport would be great.

 

A game that I loved to play, and was rather good at, was Spleef. Simple, easy, and addicting. It would be fun for people to go to these places just to socialize, Rp, and then challenge each other to games and such. I'd love to hear people's opinions on this, please and thank you!

I'd be cool with the fishing being less boring than it is right now, but a game area? That makes little to no sense IC, half the races want to kill eachother and the other half spit on the ground in front of the others whenever they walk past, just to make a point.

 

Not to mention that spleef makes no sense IC.

Fish had special effects in 3.5. What happened is that it began to make no sense that people ate magic fish that gave them super strength in PvP. I think arenas detract from the RP experience of LoTC, unless you could make them into a sort of roleplay feature I don't see them being a good idea.

 

Also spleef makes no sense in RP imo

But it does, the fish are infused with the left over magic that is floating around from people casting spells and whatnot, mutating them into amazing creations!! Like a sugar rush after too many Twinkies.....
