How did you hear about us?: A friend has told me that this is a good server for roleplaying (Elanion)

What do you think the server will be like? I think there will be a realistic and authentic environment to roleplay in, most likely the best I've ever RPed in, as I hope.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I approve of the rule about non-rp skins being prohibited, because it ensures a RP-friendly atmosphere.

Definitions

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying starts with inventing a character with a special story and personality and then proceeding to try and make the character a part of the fictional world you are roleplaying in by performing your character's actions, in this case all based on text,

and interacting with the other players.
What’s metagaming?: Making use of Out-of-Character knowledge in In-Character situations, most often occuring when someone wants to gain an advantage over another player.

It is basically about making your character know things he could now know.
What’s powergaming?: Making your character unrealistically strong in any possible way, giving yourself an unfair advantage over other players and therefore destroying their roleplay experience because you easily achieve things they are working for for a long time.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.):


I never really knew my parents, I can not even remember their faces to be honest. Most likely because I was too young when they died. Growing up in the woods with my grandfather, I hardly ever knew any other people besides him either, only knowing that there was a great city close by called „Normandor“ or something like that.
According to my grandfather, my parents both infected each other when the plague broke out and died of it. He was never talking much about it but he told me it's a miracle, that I did not get infected, too. For him, the outbreak of the plague was the last bit of motivation he required to turn his back on society and live alone in the woods,

only taking me with him because I had no one else to stay with.
I always felt a little lonely because my grandfather really did not make for a decent company, but at least he was able to teach me a huge amount of things about archery, hunting, herbalism and even a bit of alchemy. Since I spent my entire life in the woods, I know almost any plant or animal that calls the forest their home.
Never have I truly felt the need to stay away from other people, but still I did not just want to leave my life and grandfather, who had saved my life and did so much for me after all,

alone in the woods, especially as he became rather fragile due to his high age.
Finally, my grandfather began to feel his end was approaching and it did not take much longer until he finally died. With him gone, my life suddenly because unbearably lonely and silent, since I lacked the urge to be alone that had been so strong in my grandfather.
The fall of Asulon finally made the decision for me and I began to make my way back into society, being forced to cooperate with others in order to survive the turbulent times of traveling from Asulon to Elysium, Kalos and finally Anthos.
I admit is was troublesome at times and I had a hard time dealing with all these people and adapting to their ways of life, but after all it was worth it for I am no longer alone.


What are they like? (personality): Manuelis is a very calm and quiet person and, out of habit, hardly speaks at all, only if he has to. He usually just remains in the background and attempts to calculate and understand the people he has to deal with because it's a rather hard thing for him to understand people's personalities. But once he trusts a person and thinks he understands them and likes them in the end, he's a very friendly ally.

What are their ambitions?: He is generally only trying to integrate into society and find people to live with like friends and the such. Since his grandfather never really taught him about wealth and such things and he hardly knows them, he does not really have any higher ambitions.
Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both)

Strengths:
He is very good at using a bow and is very acrobatic since he always loved to climb and move on trees. Also, he's very good at surviving in the wilds, finding herbs and making use of them.
Weaknesses:
In general, his language skills and social skills are very bad and he has a hard time interacting with other people, which often leads to misunderstandings and conflicts without him actually intending to cause them. This also applies to understanding laws, which he never actually knew.
Furthermore, he's not trained in real combat, which is mostly because he never even made contact with other people in his youth and therefore never fought anyone.


Give us a description of how they look?: He's got very long hair, even for an elf, and blue eyes. He's rather tall and skinny, which actually makes him pretty graceful. Usually, he is dressing in all kinds of green and brown colors, depending on what he can get hold of but prefering the colors of nature.
