Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. What is roleplaying?: - Acting as a different character in situations, and roleplaying scenarios with other members of a community. Roleplay is for the most part fictional.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Using OOC knowledge to affect RP or change an event. For example, being told the location of something in OOC, and then using it to Rp even though your character has no knowledge of it’s whereabouts.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Forcing an outcome or situation. For example, forcing someone’s character into a situation where they must die, or ‘dodging’ every attack upon your character.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): -

Lillian was born in Seventis to a working class merchant family. Her Father, Jonathon, would sell goods on market day in a stall, while her mother, Alice,  made fine fabrics to be sold in a quaint little shop. Her Father wanted her to marry early, something which she had no taste for. One evening, Jonathon introduced a young man to the family, a son of their neighbour. He was snobby and bland, with no imagination or sense of adventure. She left home in the dead of night, fleeing the trapped future she would surely have. Fore-seeing the boring and trapped future she would surely have, Lillian fled her home in the dead of night, carrying only a days food and the clothing on her back.

After a two days journey Lillian, starving and hungry, stumbled across a dense forest. She slowly entered, searching for water. Within an hour she came across a small pond, from which she drank heartedly. After a short while she looked up to find a light glowing in the distance, standing out against the evening gloom. As Lillian made her way towards it, she noticed the chattering and the sound of footsteps. She was surrounded by what she only knew as Elves from the stories her Father would tell her. She spent three days with the elves, searching through maps and listening to the tales of other peoples, and greater cities. She left early on the fourth morning, now with a decent supply of food and a pack of water. With an old map in hand, she started towards the Dwarven caves, terrified of these creatures well known for their war mongering yet oddly fascinated. She came upon the city of Kal’Arkon. As she entered the city, she felt a sense of hostility towards her, yet she spent the night there. Before she left in the morning, she purchased a single silver band from a jewellers, which she now wears around her right-index finger.

 

What are they like? (personality): Lillian is headstrong and will never take ‘No’ for an answer. She will do everything in her power to get what she wants, yet at the same time she doesn’t ask for much, and is very independent meaning she rarely asks for help or favours. Lillian is also strongly loyal, and tries to help her friends and ones she cares for. At the same time she can come across hostile to strangers. Lillian is very adventurous and loves travelling. This is due to not being able to much of it as a child. She enjoys the sense of freedom.

 

What are their ambitions?: She wishes to explore and one day own a large estate of money and land. She wishes to one day have a family, but to be a well dignified working woman, overcoming the disadvantages to her gender. She hopes to be able to see the world and explore the realms with newfound friends, yet she will find this difficult to do.

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): Lillian is educated and can write and read. She’s also skilled with a knife, something she learnt from working in her family kitchen and training against a tree.

 Lillian is quite weak and struggles to life heavy items or do any lasting damage by herself. She is also easily distracted.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: Lillian has long-ish light brown hair, and forest green eyes. She has fair skin. She usually wears a simple green and grey dress and a pair of worn in leather boots of her father’s hidden under her clothing.
