((This song ends just a little abruptly. Sorry about that lol. Still gives a good feel to the post though, doesn't it?))

Upon hearing news from Thurak’Yar of whitewashes hiding amongst the halflings, Rex Malog’Yar ordered Warboss Reksam’Kog to assemble a raid party to uproot these traitors. The orcs mustered a sizeable group, and marched for the halfling village. On arrival, the settlement was relatively vacant, save for a random elf and a human who happened to be passing through. The orcs simply decided to head back to San’Vitar to hold a tournament in their arena, and share stories of the ancestors.

The tournament proved very entertaining as the orcs joyfully sparred on the sands. All the combatants klomped with honor, but one humble brother started to stand out: Oxtuk’Kog. This young orc soon proved the star competitor, as every challenger the Rex paired him up against was defeated. As the tournament continued, the occasional swirl of sand could be seen beneath Oxtuk’s feet.

After the final match, the earth began to tremble and quake, shaking every orc off his feet. The sand in the center of the arena began to sink, as a massive crack split across the floor. A deep and familiar laugh sounded from the crevasse, and a flurry of sand hovered above it. Rex Malog and High Shaman Brunhyldir immediately recognized it as the lesser earth spirit, Gul’Thak. Oxtuk initially urged Malog to accompany him out of the arena, concerned for the well-being of his Rex. Malog steadied himself on his axe, and reassured him, however, that the spirit was undoubtedly pleased by the tournament. His point was proven as the voice from the earth resounded,  "OOOOXXTUUUUKK!!! Lat hab pruvun latz hozhnezz en da turnamunt diz dey! Lat hab beetun ebrey chalenjur zet befur lat! Noaw, lat hab azh moar klomp tu win!" With that, all the other orcs were swept up into the sand cloud, leaving Oxtuk alone to face whatever test the spirit had for him.

It started with a simple sphere of sand, roughly the size of a watermelon, sent hurdling through the air at him. Oxtuk endured, but his trial grew more strenuous as a whirlpool of sand tried to suck him beneath the earth.

He dug his way out, only to be barraged by great a earthen fist, shards of sandstone, hail of hardened sand pellets and various other attacks thundering from the dust.

Beaten and bloodied, Oxtuk pulled through. The spirit was pleased with the orc’s success.

Gul’Thak promised to make Oxtuk his champion after the cave of the muyakelgs had been properly cleansed. Oxtuk had recieved a great honor, even if he may not have completely understood the full meaning thereof. His Orcish brothers congratulated him with headbutts and a magic apple. Though Gul’Thak’s plans may not be perfectly clear, the orcs knew their sacred land was one step closer to receiving the blessing it needed.
