Knox213 10 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Petrus Overview Report Town Status: Active Town Staff: Imperial Steward: Joseph Of House Lane Foot Steward(s): Chief Steward - Crius Horen Maer: VACANT Castellan: VACANT Introduction Well folks, its been a rough few weeks in Oren, and due to that i’ve had to abandon my project of Siegrad, and take up Petrus as my new one. This will genuinely be a basic, overview of what is happening, what may happen, and what will happen. So… Lets begin on this new journey, right? The New Emperor As many of you may have seen or heard, Boris Carrion has taken the throne of Oren and was coronated as the Emperor, taking the throne from House Chivay and moving them elsewhere. Theres some exciting things to expect from this. Many will disagree with me when I say that but i’ve spoken to Cruz on many occasions, and all I can say is he, and the others in charge only have the servers best interests at heart. Sure, we may be going through a rough patch at this point but at the end of the day… That was almost bound to happen. Bring it down to bring it back up again, am I right? Petrus?? We’re all living in a… Raevir Regime… Haha, no. Many people fail to realise that just because the emperor comes from a some what odd culture, it doesn’t mean that everything is bound to change within the city, or Empire, and you’ll be happy to know that Petrus will not “changed” into an overrun strelt town, rather… We’d like to invite people of all cultures within Oren to live there, and other races… Provided they’re on their best behaviour. Now, onto the real subject of Petrus. Recruiting From what I have heard from people and seen, the entire city seems to have a slight food shortage at the present time, which is why we are inviting all cooks and chefs to take up residence here. As well as that I would also like to invite companies and guilds into the city provided that they are active enough to contribute to the city… So if you run a company selling various general goods, please get in contact with Senda or Frigated! Demilitarisation You’ve heard it from me first, what makes a town successful? Fun roleplay and less killing for somebody who apparently murdered a lord! Or stole your sweetroll. In recent days i’ve noticed a lot more military presence, and not enough surf-rp. Which kind of makes me sad, I miss the days when i’d run through the city hearing conversations from drunken peasants talking about their daily lives. All I am really hearing at the moment is. “So this one time, at band camp? We killed a guy.” Not really the thing I want to hear throughout most the day. To combat this problem i’ve tried to minimise the military presence, and asked the brave valiant soldiers of Oren to put down their weapons, enjoy some “off-duty” time and have some actual fun roleplaying. This does not mean there will not be any guard presence though. After all, justice must be maintained. So if you’re a fellow who likes telling stories, likes having a drink, head on down to the Petrus Tavern, enjoy some food and have a beer… Kaboom If you’ve visited Petrus recently, you may have noticed the bridge magically disappeared… This was due to a jihadist dwarf who decided it would be fun to blow up the bridge, who is this jihadist dwarf and why does he hate bridges so much you may be asking? Well, I don’t really know. So find out yourself! Nevertheless the bridge was fixed and all is normal once more. Closing statement Well, this was probably amongst one of my less exciting reports, assuming any of them are really exciting at all. I can’t really report on what has been happening since I have been preoccupied dealing with other matters, which is why I invite the citizens to please drop me a private message, whether your looking for helpers in your shop or wish to report on something interesting going on within the city! Don’t hesitate to speak up. I’m sure a fair few people would like to hear what you would like to say! I’m also debating doing a “Holy Oren Empire” Overview report, not entirely sure yet. We’ll see in the near future. Thats all folks.

AlmondTree 418 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Just a mere thought that have crossed my mind. It wouldn't hurt to..lighten the city up a bit with some color? Right now it pretty..dull and some wool here and there could really brighten the mood. Some flowers maybe and patches of grass here and there. Please!

DrakeHaze. 2524 Share Posted August 31, 2014 The merchant stalls found within Petrus square are off-putting and placed ignorantly to the surroundings. At the very least move them to a more comfortable position for as it stands they interfere with civilian foot-traffic and take up a large portion of the space required for the town square. I suggest either removing them completely or pushing them off to the sides to leave the square more open and inviting rather than cluttered and off-putting.Kind regards, Ilaustius Horen
