It is with a heavy heart that we are to announce the passing of  the High Magus, Jeremiah Harscroft. Ever a diligent man and a true servant to the Creator, may he find eternal peace in the Seven Skies.  An interim shall take his place over the coming weeks until the Council is given opportunity to convene and select a worthy successor to ascend to the position.

Why you wish to be a member of the guild, in detail. (At least two paragraphs.)
I long a sense of belonging. I have been associated with many magic guilds in the past, but they come and go as time passes. I wish to expand my knowledge of the unknown and share what knowledge I already have. I wish to call fellow men, my brothers and pass wisdom to them, and their wisdom to me.
 
These reasons and the fact that I wish to learn more of your culture are why I wish to join.
 
What types of magic do you currently practice, if applicable?
Illusion and Arcane Evocation.
 
What types of magic are you interested in studying and or learning?
Conjuration I desire to learn. I will study the rest.
 
Have you ever been apart of another institute, I.E the Mages Guild, Raine Academy, the Wizards Guild, etc?
Arcane Delvers, Mages Guild, Salvus Shields, and other scholarly institutions, to which their names I cannot remember.

Arcane Delvers: Teacher

Salvus Shields: Commander (Primary focus in strategy and advising- not combat.)

The Second Law of Use and Misuse

A mage shall not distort the universe through the use of Morphonic Conjuration, Perennial Conjuration, Contract Magic (Including Okar Contracts), Shade Magic, Necromancy, or Soul Puppetry. This law does not apply to studying the magic out of intent to either defend against it, or to further one's own knowledge. Power is so often assumed to be directly linked to violence. True power is knowledge and understanding of the world around one. I seek knowledge in all fields arcanic and related to matter. This is not a gluttonous, pointless research I have undertaken, though. I seek to develop a practical approach to the reconstitution of matter as a whole, rather then the dredge-work that is my current knowledge of the arcanica. You can guide me. I have no shortage of confidence that this guild shall take my mind as wet clay, and mold it with deft skill into a beautiful work of developed art.  

 

The Waldenian Mage's Guild was constructed as a matter of hope, hope that a bastion of the arcanica could survive in the political torrent that is Human politics. This goal has been achieved. Even as I neared the tower, the rumors of prestige and discipline that already floated in the air solidified into a feeling of awe and dedication that grew within my gut. How can I turn away such a guiding feeling? If I have a place in the world, it is among your ranks.
