All Courtiers and Nobles are hereby called to the palace for Emperor's Court.

 

Any citizen of Oren may approach the Emperor to speak! Bring your questions / requests!

The slow, rhythmic clack of wood on stone echoes through the throne room as a man approaches, his cane tapping on the floor with each long stride he takes. Upon reaching a sufficient distance, he would stop and bow his head slightly "Emperor Tuvuya" he says in greeting his voice smooth and clear. Raising his head to look the emperor in the eyes, he continues "My name is Jonathan Elers. You likely do not remember me, but in the days of old Abresi, over twenty years ago, I supplied you with produce regularly" A small smile passes over his lips for a moment at the mention of that, but he continues "In any case, much has passed since then and I have not come here to catch up with you. Mine is a relatively straight forward question. It is in regard to magic, magical communities and the like"

 

Jonathan stops, surveying the people in the room and their reactions for a moment before turning back to face the emperor "It's no secret that during the Chivay's reign magic was...disdained. Men of Oren would frequently take it upon themselves to rid the world of mages for the crime of being a mage. The empire was all but at a state of war against Raine academy whom solely wished to teach in peace. The same hostility was extended to the late Arcane Vigil, whom at the time had done nothing but be formed" Jonathan takes a breath here, keeping his gazed locked with that of the emperors "Your recent act of restoration, specifically the revoke of the Vizma acts and laws of imperial deviancy are nothing but a step in the right direction. You've proven that you lack the....rashness, to put it kindly, of your predecessors. I now wish to ask how this will carry over into magic and the Empires relationship with magical communities such as Raine. How will magic be regulated, if at all, within your empire. And will a mage be able to once again light his pipe within Oren borders without fear of being crucified or having his head removed" At that, Jonathan falls silent, looking to Tuvuya for his response.

The youth Jan de Savoie enters the Imperial Court at a brisk pace, halting before the Emperor Tuvya and kneeling; dipping his head soon after. He clears his throat.

 

"Your Imperial Majesty. We spoke earlier this week, in regards to a christening. Word shall be sent to you soon enough of the official date; this is not why I present myself so humbly before you."

 

Rising, he pats himself down, adjusting his gaze to face the Emperor.

 

"This regulation of magic- These magisters, reach mine ears with great intrigue. I should like to participate in this goal of yours. I ask of you how I may."
