How did you hear about us?: - I heard about LotC a long time ago from a person who i was in a clan with and then i saw you on the minecraft forums and decided to give the server a try.

What do you think the server will be like? - Mature and intense, violent and political role-play.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - I have.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - I most agree with the building/destruction rules.

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- I do

Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is stepping into the body of the character you are playing and making their decisions based on what their personality would suggest they would do, not necessarily what you would do. It is fully immersing yourself in the game play to the point where you almost believe the story is actually happening.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is using OOC information to give oneself an advantage while IC.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is performing an act IC that the character you are playing would be unable to do.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

What’s your character called?: - Charles Wright

 

What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): - Human (Heartlander  - I know this is a cultural group but I'm including it to be safe.)

 

What gender are they?: - Male

 

How old are they?: -  23 years

 

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Charles was a born in the human capital beneath Godfrey's peaks to Marissa and Herald wright. Herald was a craftsman who owned a small shop in the Capital and Marissa was maid to the royalty of the city. One day when Charles was 14 they decided to have a family outing. They went down with their fishing equipment to the river south of Oren and fished from early in the morning till noon. Charles and his father both caught large fish and they cooked them over a fire for lunch. Marissa, Herald and Charles were feasting on the fish and when Charles finished he got up to relieve himself. He walked 20 or so meters away and went behind a rock. Only a couple seconds after this he heard his mother scream. He peaked over to see three villains standing over her and his father. The obvious leader of the group was a huge man and held a heavy club high above his head. Then, suddenly, he brought it down, quick as a flash, across his mothers head. Blood began to ooze out of her cracked skull. Charles ran forward with extreme fury in his eyes. He pulled out his fishing knife and jumped on the leaders back drawing the knife across his throat. The leader fell over backwards pinning Charles beneath him as he died. His father stood drawing his dagger and drove it through the chest of one of the other men. Then his father turned to face the final villain. His father was now unarmed with his dagger stuck in the man he'd just killed. The last of the three men already had his sword drawn and before giving Herald a chance to react he impaled him through the gut then forced his perfectly sharpened blade upward through Heralds body piercing his heart. He was dead within seconds. Seeing his father die Charles squirmed to escape from beneath the fallen man but made little progress. The surviving villain smirked at him searched his parents bodies for valuables then slunk off. It took Charles another ten minutes to escape from beneath the leader. And when he did he sobbed over his dead parents until the sun was set below the horizon. Then he stood, all the emotion drained out through his tears and he ran. He ran to no where in particular, just away from the sight of the terrible murder. Eventually he came to a city. It was the middle of the night and the city was quiet, everyone within their homes. Then someone stepped out and confronted Charles. The elf had long ears and pale skin with flowing blonde hair. The elf asked him what was wrong so Charles recounted the events of the day to him with a broken voice. The elf nodded sadly as he spoke and when he finished he told Charles he had arrived in Fiandria and then offered to let him stay in his home for a few days until Charles new what he was going to do. The next day Charles wandered around the city exploring it and hoping to find somewhere quiet. Finally he just walked to the outskirts of the city and layed down in the foliage beneath a tree. He fell asleep. Later he woke to the sound of hushed voices. The voices were discussing some sort of relic in the Forest of Andrallan. They spoke with great fear and it seemed to be stemming from a specific property of the forest. Eventually it became clear what it was; spending to much time the forest made you forget everything. Charles smiled at the idea of that, of being able to close his eyes without the image of his mothers crushed skull, or his fathers face as the sword passed through his stomach. Instantly he new he wanted to forget. He thought back to a map he'd seen his father poor over with business associates. He remembered first where Fiandria was marked then where Andrallan was. He waited for the voices of the two elves to fade away. Then stood and walked in the direction he new would lead him to the Forest of Andrallan.  He arrived there two full days later and delved into the silent forest, letting his mind slip away. Seven years later he reemerged remembering nothing of his time there or of anything before it except his name. He walked north guided by shadows old memories. He arrived at a river eventually. It seemed somehow familiar but he couldn't recall why. A tear formed in the corner of his eye.

 

What are they like? (personality): - Charles tends to show little outward emotion but is a kind person at heart. He is also prone to bouts of extreme violent anger but has learned to suppress it and stop it from getting out of hand while interacting with others (most of the time). He is extremely intelligent and can recognize patterns in almost anything.

 

What are their ambitions?: -  Charles wants to join to the military and work his way up to a high rank and eventually have men under his command. He also feels drawn to the business world and the wealth that comes with being a successful entrepreneur. 

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Charles's strengths are that he is handy with a sword and good in a fight. He also has a mind for military strategy. He has developed an understanding for economics and is very good at manual labor. His weaknesses are occasional lapses in control over his anger and blinding overconfidence when dealing people he views as lesser or not as intelligent as himself.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: - Charles is 6 feet tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He is stocky and keeps in very good shape. He has sharp square facial features and low bushy eyebrows that give him an intense serious look.
