What do you think the server will be like? - Really unique, mythological and FUN! 

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes 

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - It's good that this server does not allow profanity. Profanity ruins the RPG experience. 

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- Your purpose as a villain in LoTC is to be evil, committing crimes ((in game only!)) and attacking innocents. That means villains aren't allowed to be nice in any way. However, villains still must role-play appropriately before and after combat, or consequences may await.

 

 Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):- Um, a forum rule. On the forum, it says I posted my first App at 7:45 PM, but really I posted it at 7:45 AM. That means, if I post it at 7:45AM today,  it'll look like I only waited twelve, but really I waited the full 24 hour wait period. Does that mean my app is instantly going to get denied because the forum says I posted my  first app only 12 hours before?

 

Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: - In roleplaying games ((Commonly abbreviated RPGs)) You create a character and observe the world from their perspective, 'stepping into their shoes.' You determine their path, go on their adventures, fight with them or be the death of them. RPs can be simple, with one main storyline and basic characters, or richly elaborated, like LoTC, with unique characters created by the player. I never wanted to settle for simple. That's why I'm applying for LoTC.

 

What’s metagaming?: -  Metagaming is taking advantage of information you aren't supposed to know, or your character isn't supposed to know. Example: Your friend ((Not in game)) tells you the name of someone else in game that he/she dislikes that he/she wants you to kill. However, your in-game character isn't supposed to know this, and if it completes the aforementioned, it would be committing the 'crime' of metagaming. This can mean confusion, drama and anger for the victim, ruining the unique RP experience.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming, In RPG, I would call cutting people off.  Example: An archer in an RP battle.  "The arrow goes right through ABC's heart, destroying him instantaneously. "  The other player doesn't get any say in the fight whatsoever. This is one type of powergaming.

Another type of power gaming is making your character very over-powered and impossible to defeat by another player. This can cause distress and fear among players, as someone like this could tear apart LoTC in just hours.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): -

 

When Ruptoryl was born in Petrus, Athera, in 1453, she never expected to end up on the streets as a thief. As a child, Ruptoryl enjoyed milking her cow, weaving, and tying lengths of rope into impossible knots. She was an open and charismatic girl, with many friends from all around Petrus.

 

As a tween, Ruptoryl was an active member of the Petrus community, working as a milkmaid at various farms and sending her prize cows to the village fair. In her teenage years, however, Ruptoryl had far different ambitions. After gaining inspiration from her Father, a retired knight, she sought to be the first female warrior in all of Petrus. Ruptoryl was tired of being the sweet milkmaid and the mellow cow breeder.

Ruptoryl sold her stock and trained her self to become a hero. Ruptoryl began her training with kitchen knives, practising in secret in an abandoned cellar in her Father's homestead with dummies of her own invention. However, in 1469, the overthrowing of the Chivay Dynasty began. Petrus was stricken with war, and the cellar in her Father's homestead was no longer safe.

 

Ruptoryl, however, did not let her progress be hindered by the overthrowing of the Chivay Dynasty. She attempted to march to battle, keen to prove that girls could be just as useful as boys. Convincing herself that the battle would be excellent practice, Ruptoryl strode out to battle, brandishing a cleaver Determined to become the Heroine of Petrus, Ruptoryl strode out to battle, brandishing a cleaver, only to be caught by her Father, who locked her in his homestead, telling her that 'no female could fight this battle'.

 

Ruptoryl, was very annoyed by her Father's sexism, and, more intent than ever before at achieving her goal, Ruptoryl set off to the rough streets of Petrus, where she tried to recruit allies to help her campaign for her ultimate goal: To give everyone  equal rights. 

 

What are they like? (personality): - Ruptoryl, although sweet and mellow on the outside, is tough and determined to the core. Everyday she strives to fufill her ambitions, no matter how far-fetched they may seem to another. Demeter is Ruptoryl's birth name, but she changed it to Ruptoryl when she was thirteen years.  Ruptoryl is a fast learner, and is always keen to take new skills onboard. Ruptoryl makes allies when she can, and is open to your opinion, whatever it may be.

 

What are their ambitions?: Ruptoryl wants to be a heroine. She wants to march into battle, defend her city. She wants to wear a suit of ferrum armour and have more than a cleaver in her arsenal. She wants to land the final blow on a corrupt ruler, defend herself from a rouge assassin. But she doesn't want just her to  be a heroine, but everyone. Every female. Ruptoryl wants everyone to be seen as someone of value, no matter their gender or race. Ruptoryl believes that she can make this happen with hard work, even if she has to trade her own life for it. And, everyday, Ruptoryl has a little more hope that her dream isn't as far fetched as it seems.

 

 

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Ruptoryl has lived for eight years on the streets of Petrus, and subsequently is a very talented thief. She can pick your pocket without you even noticing, steal  your possessions without a second glance.  Ruptoryl is also very charismatic, making her manipulative but likeable. Ruptoryl also has a persuasive tongue, and has won over the hearts of many young and old.

 

Ruptoryl is cunning with knives. If the knife is shorter than her forearm, then she can wield it with ease. However, if the weapon was any longer then her forearm, she struggles, becoming very clumsy, for Ruptoryl is not very coordinated.. The same goes for amour. Heavy armour weighs Ruptoryl down she becomes significantly slower, as well as less coordinated.

 

Ruptoryl is also no good in the wild. She cannot survive alone, with no civilisation. Instead, she relies on the people around her to keep her alive and well.

 

Ruptoryl isn't good with magic of any kind. Her incantations get mixed up and her mind befuddled when ever she attempts a spell.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: Ruptoryl always has a leather suit of armour on, just in case someone were to attack her, with her brown flyaway hair concealed under a hood. Ruptoryl has brown eyes and light skin covered in scars, old and new. Ruptoryl is quite skinny with long legs, allowing her to be very agile.

• A lot of things in your IC section don't match up. You say that your character wants to become a heroine and a knight, but then all of the sudden you say she is also a master thief? This is kind of confusing. I want you to flesh out your character more, either making up your mind on what you want her to be, or at least tying in how she became a master thief living on the streets.
• Your strengths and weaknesses don't match up with your bio either. You say that she wants to have more than just a cleaver as a weapon, and wants to wear ferrum armour, and then you go on to say that she doesn't like big weapons or ferrum armour.
