Gathered amidst the summit of the Tlatlanni, the left mountain of two, are many Kharajyr. Word travels that there will be a speech, an elderly Kharajyr who will speak of the truth to the recent change. A messenger of Metztli, some say. Whilst others, those who would dare say it, would mention his possible allegiance to Absyyl. Suddenly, out of the trees, he walks and stands atop the table that is central to the summit; Kharajyr surround him, eager to hear his words. He looks over them as equals.

"Kharajyr," He begins. "Long has it been since we have seen our once mighty leader." Some faces among the Kharajyr drop, noticing that perhaps this speech is that of malice. "Instead, he hides beneath our very feet, inside his far too grand palace; Such is the way of a coward, eager to avoid his problems. The Tlatlanni was once a strong position, one of pure construct to that of Metztli's will. Now, we find it empty; desolate like the jungles of our people."

"For no longer." He turns to address as many Kharajyr as possible that surround him. "Today marks our new culmination. Today is the day in which we strike out of cowardice, and into the world once more. Too long have we suffered under the pathetic rule of one such as this." He raises his paw. "FOR NO LONGER!" He roars.

He takes a breath, beginning to show a rebellious fierceness only seen in the eyes of a conditioned warrior, bound to a will. "Metztli had chosen our Tlatlanni. Metztli had also chosen our Sage. But where are they?" He looks around for an answer. Nothing but silence is spoken. "Are we not children unguided?"

He smirks. "Maybe it is time we grew up. We are alone if we are not guided by the strong. We are NO LONGER guided by the hardy, we are simply idle whilst we submit to weaker powers than ourselves."

"We must adapt. We must survive. This is the way of the Kharajyr."

"And," He starts, knowing that this next subjective section of his speech will gain nothing but dismay. "Absyyl." He mentions, gasps following and questionable looks full of content brow raises. "Absyyl exists. We have seen the corruption that he brings to our jungle. He has emptied our walls!" He reaches into the crowd to invite a Kharajyr at random. "Kharajyr, do we not follow Metztli?"

"Yes...?" They speak tentatively. "Doubt, I see it all around me!" He releases the Kharajyr that volunteered, it then clumbers to the ground again. "We are her children, but there are others. There are the corrupters; Iblees, not Absyyl. Our Sage is false." Gasps once more follows, some Kharajyr opting to be more vocal.

"Doubt me, and you doubt the truth." He raises his head. "I was spoken to by a being not of this world. A demon, I could only call it. To me this thing said; 'There is no difference between the One Eyed Devil and the One Eyed Wolf'" Confusion spreads across some Kharajyr, but others begin to see.

"We are not facing a meagre threat, here. We are facing a destroyer of worlds. To fear him is correct; But we do not fear, we survive. We are Kharajyr; and Metztli will protect us."

"But only if we are led by somebody strong enough to face the darkness."

"Morthawl is not this. Natayshi is not this. I dare not proclaim to speak for you all, and I will not volunteer somebody. We must decide as a collective, who shall lead us against this foe. For it shall not be Tla'Morthawl, and it cannot be Natayshi."

"For no longer shall we be bound by their own will. We are bound to Metztli's will. She would not have us cower in fear. She would have us fight for our lives, for our island. For our children."

"Tell me, Kharajyr. Who agrees with I?"

Rameethar steps up towards the front of the ranting Kha', his trident making a resonant "thwap" sound as it he walks with it. "And who are you to challenge the will of Metztli? Who are you to challenge the honor and right to rule of our Tla' and Sage? Who are you to say that what you would do for the Kha' is greater than what they have done?" The massive midnight black Pantera looks up at the random elderly Kha', his expression and rant showing his fierce loyalty to the ones the Kha' denounced.

"They have lead us this far, and never mislead us. They have kept us from war, done their best to keep us alive and populated. Can you say the same, fool? Can you say that you have actively done your best to make sure the Kha' coexist with their enviroment, eachother, and the apes alike?" He turns to the other Kha' who might have been listening still. "Are you alive!? Do you still live and breath? Of course you do. Then who has the right to say our leaders have failed? They keep us living, they keep us together as well as they can. No destroyer of worlds can end camaraderie if it is held together by bonds of steel and heart. Do you know why, Kharajyr? That camaraderie is the same type of camaraderie that has won wars through history, whether it be Kha' or ape. It will be no different today."

He turns back to the Kha', continuing his verbal attack. "You say if we doubt you, we doubt the truth. Yet the truth is subjective when it comes to who is worthy and who is not. Rameethar can say you are not worthy of living among us Kharajyr. The Kharajyr follow Metztli's decisions and her chosen leaders, no matter their state of mind or approach on war." He points his trident up at the elderly looking Kha', his dark eye setting itself on his competitor's. "Whawt daws thawt mayke yu, pmycbrasan? Prove yourself worthy to speak low of your superiors, and maybe the Kharajyr will find you worthy to challenge them. Until then, you and any other false Kharajyr who speak in this blasphemous manner, will meet a cold, lonely fate. Rameethar says not if it will be by his hand, but whoever's hand it is will be worthy of the title Kharajyr."

He turns a cold glare on the elderly Kha'. "The world destroyer may prove a challenge to the Kha', but you are no less an infrastructural threat than he. Therefore, if you follow the path you look upon, you will meet the same ultimate fate as he." He turns, walking away from the crowd. "Keep that in mind, Kharajyr."

Ja'Lorei stands, listening to the speech with a frown marring her features. She looks around at the kha listening, shaking her head at their affirmative responses. After the recent failure of the revolution, she wasn't exactly open to the idea of major change, especially one so sudden. Especially one after the change in power from the Tla to the priests. She exhaled, rolling her tongue across her fangs. This didn't sit well with her at all.

Sure, she was obviously biased. She had her alliances. She knew her place. As far as she knew, the revolution's failure was a sign from Metztli. The Mother had obviously chosen which side she favored. Lorei had gotten a second chance. She wasn't going to fall out of line.

As Rameethar began to speak, Lorei barely held back from throwing her hands up in the air. Finally, a kha who had sense!

"Listawn tu the Aelkos. Du nawt fawll fawr tha sa'yme speech tha authers have saed befawr. Th'ys speech haws awlredee been saed. Awnd'ah yet, Metztli awnlee tuuk cawr auwf ae few auf tha kha whu fell astrey." She pauses, looking at the group of kha though she knew she wasn't reaching the majority of them. Still, she waited, willing to convince the other kha who thought she was wrong.

With his opinion heard, the Kharajyr that spoke - among many of those who had listened - retreat down the mountain once more. They go back to their everyday lives; with nothing but labour awaiting them.

As Metztli's concubine Zaddha speaks as though he assumes living Kharajyr could hear him, "Morthawl taught Zaddha awll 'bawt Cake Day, awnd how eet ees evawryday. A mawn such aws Morthawl deserves tu'ah rule fawr eternity upawn such ingenuity."

Across the river the halflings chase away strange black cloaked kha', an angry mob gathering at the woods, a'feared of the giant crabs but angry at Kha' tresspassers!
