The corpse hangs by its neck from the church in the city of Petrus, its naked body adorning various markings engraved into its flesh, including the eye of Iblees carved into the chest. Blood flowing freely down the side of the holy building from the slit neck and wrists of the body, you stand in the crowd of people around you, whispers and gasps fill your ears as you gaze upon the scene.

An old man starts shouting, pointing at the body with quivering arms.

"How are we supposed to sleep at night?! If Cultists can attack us on whim at the heart of our own city and commit such sacrilege without being caught ?!"

It is clear many in the crowd that night expressed the same concerns, fear on their faces as they watch the body fall to the ground, a guard severing the rope that bound it to its place. As the body falls you see a warning painted in blood across the side of the church.

Consider this a warning, you are NOT safe. What i have demonstrated here today is that i can and will attack you at the heart of your own city where you reside. You should sleep in fear, cower in your houses as i roam your nightmares. For i AM your nightmares..

...

Mordeqai watches the scene from a distance, cloaked in the veil of darkness that is the night. A grin appears across his face as he watches the guards trying to contain the panic with some in the crowd. He whispers to himself looking at the guards ahead knowing they can't see nor hear him from this distance.

"The first act was disappearances from the main road, your daily route of travel. The second was an attack on your homes, the very place you thought you were safe. I wonder if you will stop the third act before it is too late. Or will fear consume your hearts?"

Without another word he stalks off into the night.

A bird flies to Tuvya, bearing the emblem of Silver.

"Elsillumiran extend a hand of help to elvalah for their aid. If you have need of us, send the word."

Lorien hears of these occurrences much later after the actual events. A broad grin spreads across his face as the irony of the current situation hits him.

There is now one less worshiper of the fallen daemon...but this does not entail what one might imagine.
