Porko 397 Share Posted November 16, 2014 As the order was given to charge, the brave soldiers of Renatus plodded up the mountainside to clash against the Carrion loyalists. The sounds of battle resounded through Athera as the two monumental powers hit each other. Steel crashed down on steel, flesh was ripped from the bodies of those who were struck. Among the Renatians in the charge were Edmund Horen and his bodyguard Evios Hall. They entered the fray, shouting cheers for their side and dealing death to their opponents. They both brought down notable men, and rushed in to take more as kills, when an arrow sliced through the air, and plunged into Edmund’s side. Edmund fell to his knees, and Evios fell back to check on his Lord. The arrow had sunk deep, and Edmund gritted his teeth with pain that was evident from his sweat and facial expression. Evios’s bloodied sword was dropped as he found the wound, inspecting it with fear. The soldiers of Renatus continued to crush the Carrions beneath their boots, cutting down many while few of their own fell. The mountainside was soon taken, as was the majority of the battle. Evios carried Edmund back to the medics, and they worried as they noticed the grievous wound. Edmund was brought back to a tent immediately, and began to be treated. Evios insisted on guarding his Lord. The Medics suggested he rejoin the charge three times before he obliged. Evios sprinted back out to the front, and joined his side for the finishing skirmishes. The Carrions fell into retreat, and the day was won by the Kingdom of Renatus. Meanwhile, the arrow was removed from Edmund’s body, and he shouted in pain. By the time Evios returned, it had been removed, and Edmund was bandaged. However, Edmund had lost a significant amount of blood, and the Medics insisted he rest for at least 3 Saint’s days before he could become active again. The loyal bodyguard nodded solemnly, and went to the grand hall to inform King Maric.
