What is roleplaying?: The act of playing a character and acting out events as said character. not necessarily in real life though as that is called live action roleplay. 

What is metagaming?: Using information given to you out of character as your character Say someone tells you a secret detail about their character that your character wouldn't know and you go around using it in roleplay. That is metagaming 

What is powergaming?:  Powergaming is forcing actions on someone. Like saying "x slashed his sword across x's throat, leaving him dead on the floor" 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Ecthel Varian (eK-thl vAr-ee-an) or Ecey (eK-ee) as he is called by close friends 

Character’s gender: Male though quite ambiguous 

Character’s race: Dark elf

Character’s age: 240

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Ecey grew up in Aegis in the city of Laurelin. He was taught by his parents different methods of blacksmithing and swordsmanship. He was shocked at the fall of Aegis and the rise of the undead. He tried escaping with his mother to Asulon as his father attempted to fight the undead. The two were taken  as slaves by the mori. The two eventually were able to get to Anthos after the Mori civil war started, hearing whispers of a massacre to the Dark elves by the white rose. Happy to have avoided it, the two fled to  the fringe where they saw the death of the Setherien. 

 

They now went to Athera. Once there, the pair were robbed, Ecey's mother being fatally wounded when a knife  was cut into her stomach by one of the robbers in a sneak attack. After two days of being cared for by her son, she finally died. At this point he buried his mother and continued on. The dark elf rarely stays long in any town or city. He finds staying in one place for too long is unappealing. This mostly comes to how nomadic his life had been before. Perhaps he will become a blacksmith one day but for now he is on the move.

Ecey can be seen to be very fun loving holding a grand enjoyment at festivals and balls-if he can get into them.  He can be very mischievous, using his sneaky nature to get into parties though often time being thrown out when seen by a guard. Though due to his elven nature he is very cunning and able to keep himself  out of trouble quite well. 

Ambitions: His ambitions are quite skewed but due to his knowledge in blacksmithing, he wishes to become a blacksmith professionally.  This is quite difficult, however, due to his nomadic lifestyle.

• While your biography is of a decent length, I have a few concerns with it:
  • Nerezza has only existed within the past 20 years.
  • It's very strange for a Dark Elf to have resided in Human cities. I'd suggest looking at the wiki (http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/) for Elven cities.
• Please balance your strengths and weaknesses, being a vegetarian is not a weakness. Perhaps also explain how learnt some of your skills?
