mitto 2312 Author Share Posted January 3, 2015 PvP or RP default and why? See, I can't say I'm fully for one side or the other because I recognise they're both flawed. Although I am formatively for RP Default, I understand that people can have the problem with the whole 'Nah I dodged that' ordeal and such, which can easily be fixed with the good ol' slice and dice. Though, to many peoples surprise this is actually a RP server, so people should at least make the effort to RP before just speed clicking. PVP also isn't fair on those who play more casually and maybe have a laggy computer, despite they're character being a level 100 wizard. Then there's the magic plugin. Let's not go there. In summary, RP default. Though in the case of a 100 v 100 war between nations or a battle between two equally powerful knights PVP is definitely more suitable. People just need to understand that PVP default only support a small bracket of the community, whereas RP default supports everyone, despite being heavily flawed. What are the main three reasons you continue to stay with this community/server? 1 Don't make the mistake of roleplaying yourself like I did when I first joined. I don't mean it in a copy appearance and name or whatnot. I mean don't copy personality or traits and such, I know for me it made me go on hiatus because I hated playing the character so much despite it being almost a carbon copy of my own personality. It may be harder but strive to RP as the person you want to be rather then the one you are, you'll have a lot more fun. This may not apply to everyone though. 2 Creating RP is easy if you're in a RPing mood. Most people want to RP they're just waiting for the right opportunity, this is especially true for GMT times. Just go up to someone like you would in real life and be like 'Hey do you know where Greyhaven is? Could you escort me I might get lost.' chances are you'll end up with a new buddy. Simple RP gets you RP friends I've found. For finding RP, I usually just hang around in bars and because I usually play druids I used to tend to stick around the grove, many people used to wander around. Again, bars are a good hub for RP, in GMT it wont be long until a wild Aeph comes along to start a fight. 3 The Druid Chat on skype, the guys and gals in that chat are some of my favourite people. If you're reading this <3's from me. The forum, I have a lot of fun on this forum. A lot of room for debate and sharing interesting stuff. It's really worth sticking around to read in all honesty. I hope to be a FM so I have more stuff to post on. Every time I think I get bored of playing LOTC something else new and fun comes around the corner, it's really surprising really, nothing has gripped me quite like LOTC has in a long time.
