Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I’ve read through the rules and fully agree to follow them.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Although I agree with all of the rules, the one that sticks with me most is the rule regarding metagame and powergame. I absolutely agree that metagame and powergame should not be tolerated by any means, as it sucks the fun and enjoyment out of roleplay. If nobody’s having fun, why do it?

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): I’ve got no questions.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I stumbled upon Lord of the Craft through casual talk with various acquaintances and players on other roleplay servers.

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of taking up the ‘role’ of a particular character and ‘playing’ it out to the best of one’s ability.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the act of using out-of-character information in-character. This is usually done for one’s own personal advantage or gain, and is not allowed by any means. A player should go only by what his character knows, and not by what he knows out-of-character.

What is powergaming?: Powergaming is the act of forcing a certain action upon another character without their consent or approval. Powergaming can also be defined as when a character is overly powerful, to the point of it being unrealistic or not enjoyable for other roleplayers around them. Again, it is not tolerated by any means.

 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Peter Grenefield.

Character’s gender: Male.

Character’s race: Human.

Character’s age: Twenty-six years old.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

Born in the city of Aesterwald of the Kingdom of Oren, Peter is the eldest son of Edmund and Andrea Grenefield. His family owned a small dilapidated smithery in the poorer section of the city, and received little business. From an early age it was expected that Peter too would become a smith and take over the family business when his father passed. Eager to impress, Peter quickly obliged without the slightest bit hesitation. At fifteen, Peter began smithing under his father’s supervision, heating and pounding metal into various armors and blades. Although hardworking, the smithery didn’t get many customers due to both the family’s social standing and the general quality of goods produced. Being of poor standing, they could not afford the quality goods needed to forge decent products, and therefore generated little income. The family suffered, and times were indeed rough. In his time off the forge, Peter would distract himself by practicing with a blade of his own make, dreaming of Knighthood, valor, and recognition. Days would become weeks, weeks would become months, and months would become years. Head to the grindstone, Peter and his father would work tirelessly just to scrape by and provide for the family.

 

With the recent collapse of Aesterwald, however, Peter would flee in sheer terror, not thinking of his family’s well-being or safety. Refusing to accept that they may have died in the wreckage, Peter would make his way to Petrus in hopes of forging arms for the Kingdom and possibly reuniting with those close to him.

 

Personality Traits: Peter is a determined, hard-working young man. He’s very disciplined in that he focuses fully on the task at hand, seeing it done to the letter.

Ambitions: Peter ultimately hopes to redeem himself from his cowardice at Aesterwald and succeed where his father failed, earning enough money to support himself and hopefully a family one day.

Strengths/Talents: Peter is skilled in smithing and has received a small education.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Peter has had no formal combat training, and although he knows the basics of the sword, he often has trouble defending himself.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Peter stands at a humble height of 5”11 and is of medium build, weighing a total of 140 pounds. His hair is of a dark brown and he sports a slight beard.
