I have discussed this with Overland98 and I explained to him that my definition for Meta- and Power- gaming was not plagiarized since I wrote the original definition of them on that second Roleplay server, something that I have since then confirmed to Overland98.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?:  I agree the most with rule 2, especially the part about ERp and its “brothers”. I am very glad that this is a decision you made :).

What is roleplaying?: Is when you take on the role of another person (Imaginary or already existing) and then act as if you were said person.

 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when you use out of the game / out of character acquired information to your advantage in character. Metagaming can be simple things as knowing a stranger's name before you have ever met him (Icly) or it can be more extreme things such as giving your character knowledge about other characters fears and/or weaknesses so that your character may “defeat” their character easier.

 

What is powergaming?: Powergaming is when you force another player to do something with their character without their consent. Examples of this would be to instantly kill someone and/or imposing that your action affected the other players character without giving them the option to stop it. The most common way to show that you action is not “set in stone” so to speak, is to added a “X attempts to Y” and thereby show that anyone else can hinder or change the course of your action.

Biography  

Gabriel was born a Cobblers and Tailors son in the Capital of the Kingdom of Oren, Petrus.  His parents were far from rich and most of the time he found himself mistaken for a beggar's child, but the Rudhales were merry even though their poor financial situation.

With every year that Gabriel grew older the Rudhales became poorer and soon enough Gab had to pick up the needle himself.

He was no more than nine years old when he had made his first pair of boots. It wasn’t an extraordinary display of craftsmanship, but the customer had been happy enough and Gabriel had been as prideful as a little child could be over his first pair of boots.

During the time when Gabriel was helping his parents out he often heard tales about the past; How it was when his parents first arrived to Athera, The renaming of the Imperium and how it was now known as the Holy Oren Empire.

 

Sometimes food in the Rudhale home would be so limited that they had to send away Gabriel with his uncle, only so they could sustain to hungry stomachs.

Gabriel’s uncle, Trevon, was a glorified poucher that call himself a “Trophy hunter”. He would go together with his nephew to Godfrey’s Peaks where they would hunt for Hawks.

Much to Trevon’s dislike it became very apparent that Gabriel could not stand the sight of blood, the boy would cry and sometimes even puke at the mere sight of blood.

At first Trevon believed that his nephew was just sadden because of the death of the birds but later it became clear that it was blood in it self that made Gabriel cry and become a “miserable heap of a man”.

This was a trait that Gab never truly grew out of which to some extent became the demise of his family. With the arrival of the  “Deep Cold” the family could no longer support itself with enough scares food that was available and the uncle would not allow Gabriel to go hunt with him for week, partly because he thought the frail kid couldn’t manage the cold but mainly because of his “blood problem” and so the family had to starve themselves.

When Gabriels 16th name day came his was gifted with a purse filled with a couple of minas, a needle and some thread and a “ticket” out of the house. It was not that his parents did not love him but starving them all to an early grave was not an option any of them were willing to take and so Gabriel set out on an “adventure” along the Stoneroad heading towards the Cloud Temple.

 

Personality Traits: Gabriel is a rather shy man and will not be very outgoing if he doesn't find himself in a situation where he is forced to converse with people. He is humble and grateful for almost everything little thing.

 

Ambitions: Wants to find a place for him to create a life, start his own tailor shop and maybe find some friends.

 

Strengths/Talents: Gabriel is a very good tailor and can make a basic pair of boots as well.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Gab is a very poor fighter and has never wielded a sword in his life.  He is also very frail and muscularly weak.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Gabriel is a bit shorter than most people, barely 1.7 m (5’5) tall. His arms and legs are skinny and frail, something that would be expected of a tailor’s and a Cobbler’s son, I suppose.

His hands are boney and pale with long skinny fingers who end with sharp and pointy fingernails.

His long, pale face is decorated by  a pair of fairly large, childish round almond colored eyes and long and scruffy golden-brown hair. The long hair is put up in a loose ponytail resting at the bottom of his head. The ponytail is tied up with a small blue silk ribbon, a heirloom from his mother.

 

He usually carries a “white” linen-shirt, the rough fabric now more brown than white and the small buttons lining up after one another along his chest and stomach are carved out of tiny pieces of beige deer-bones.  The sleeves of the shirt are folded up so that Gabriel may use his hands more freely and over the brownish shirt he carries a dark navy colored vest with a single pocket over his right breast, this one with a single button made out of oakwood.

Under the wrinkled piece of fabric that Gabriel calls a shirt he lets his grass colored wool pants rest on his barely existing hips only helped by a rough rope used as belt to keep them hanging at his waist.

On his feet he wears a pair of worn horse leather boots, their once hazelnut brown colored faded into a rosybrown because of rain and sun alike.
