trexation 14 Share Posted February 21, 2015 We have all seen free bread chests, they are wonderful, but most of the time they are empty because some jerk has taken 3 stacks of bread. Today I have a solution! My all new bread dispenser is cheap and easy to make, and will control the amount of bread a person can get. It is designed for high flow areas, such along the stone road. When many people are using the system, everyone can get 9 loafs of bread, but when the system is having lower traffic,a stack can become available over the course of an hour. Pros: - Easy to build - Scales with population - Small - Bulk StorageCons: - More expensive - Not simple Now, onto building this dream device, I will gladly build it for you for the price of 100 mina, or you can build it yourself following the directions bellow. (MC name is trexation , just send a bird) Edit: I made an example of the system in Montfort ((1282, 90, 302)) Tutorial Supplies needed - Building Blocks - 3 Redstone - 1 Repeater - 1 Redstone Torch - 1 Dropper ( Not dispenser ) - 4 Trapped Chests - 2 Reg. Chests - 2 HoppersOptional - 1 Item frame - 1 map Step By Step 1 - Chose where you want the double chest, then dig a three block deep hole, that is 2x3, following the digging guide bellow, then mine the block behind the right block of you chest (like the wall). 2 - Place the blocks for the redstone as shown. 4 - Add the repeaters and redstone. Then, add the torch. 5 - Place 2 blocks on top of the redstone torch. 6 - Place the dispenser in the hole you cut in the wall earlier, and place blocks under where you want your chest. ( You can also fill the hole next to the blocks directly under where you want your chest. ) 7 - Add your Trapped Chest 8 - (Optional) Place the item frame on the dispenser, and put a map in it (Already opened / used map) Note: This prevents people from taking items from the dropper. 9 - Add the hoppers and add storage chests ( Go to the other side of the wall) Note: Make sure the 1st hopper leads to the dropper, and the second hopper leads into the first, you can test this by placing an item in and seeing if it makes it to the dropper. Note: One of the double chests must be a double trapped chest. 10 - Add bread, then open the chest for the first time (After you add food), one piece of bread will appear, close the chest and wait, you should hear a CHHhh noise, and that means the chest will then have 9 pieces of bread (or 10 if you left the first piece in) Now you are ready to add signs, and finish up any cosmetics. Final Notes: Thank you for reading my full tutorial, If you are in need of any help please msg me ( trexation ), I will be glad to help! If you are worried about spoilage, you can put dough in the system and provide a complementary cooking pot.
Fireheart 2777 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Great idea, though I prefer laughing at the people who try to take food from the chest after it's all out.

Free The Hobbits 859 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I asked Telanir to just make it so people could take X amount from a shop every 24 hours. I'm banned and I don't care anymore if people don't care to read my signs so Kaun has been doing it. '
_Deutschland_ 44 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Must agree with Fiend, it's pretty sad we need this xD But 10/10, I must say, it's a great idea, and appears it will work well.
Ser Paul Ryan 1139 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Just use a dispenser. People who are hungry can get some bread, and I doubt people will sit about clicking a button 64 times to get a stack of bread.
trexation 14 Author Share Posted February 22, 2015 Just use a dispenser. People who are hungry can get some bread, and I doubt people will sit about clicking a button 64 times to get a stack of bread. You have a good point, but that also takes a large amount of time for someone to press the button to even 9-10 times, thus detracting from the grab and go concept.
Sporadic 2844 Share Posted February 22, 2015 But my character wouldn't be truly Chaotic Evil if he didn't empty every bread chest and toss it in a nearby body of water and laugh maniacally.
_Deutschland_ 44 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Yeah.. dispensers don't work well... Old Oren's Petrus proved that.
