Supremacy 3361 Share Posted February 26, 2015 A letter is found on the public notice board. It is framed in a glass case for all to see. Order: The ultimate preserver of elven kind. Those who attempt to disrupt it are the harbingers of Malinor and therefore decay and death. Children of Larihei, It is on this day I regrettably inform you that our current Okarir'mali has decided to resign. As a consequence our blessed city is left without someone who will guide the Path of Purity and find homes for each and every elf who resides within our protecting walls. As a consequence, an election will be held. Nominations are to be done now. A speech is required for a nomination to be valid. This is the will of Haelun'or and thus it is the will of all elves. - Elsohaer and Medi'iran
MrJoshy 130 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Ceriren’s note appears to have been replaced from before, replaced by a short essay; or a speech of sorts. “Dear Mali’aheral of Haleun’or, I put before you today my nomination as the oem to guise the poisition of Okarir’mali. I will keep my business short and concise. I as a being of wise intuition and many traits have helped out many of the denizens of Haleun’or, and am willing to aid those that desire it more than anything. Examples such as Aiera, oem that has been shunned by our community only until recently are what I speak of; with the Path of Purity she’d become a friend to few, and had learned the glorious ways of the maehr’sae hilun’ehya. But few of us choose to help those that seek it, for we’ve not the patience as a race. Progress with one on the Path of Purity is casually slow, nearly so as a day’s stroll. It is dull. I hope to help that process and make the Mali’thill on the Path to aspire as an epitome of the maehr’sae hilyun’ehya. I will gladly nominate myself for the position of Okarir’mali. If any questions preside, I will be in the inn to answer.”
Salamandra 1136 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Athe'lor: [into megaphone] FORGET THE SIGNS! I've got something for you to do. Go stand over there. [Talimeracahe stands next to a lighting pole] Talimeracahe: Like this, Athe'lor? Athe'lor: Almost. A little more to the right. And… perfect! [We see that Talimeracahe is now hidden behind the pole. As Athe'lor begins to speaks, a crowd gathers] Attention, people of Haelun'or! You have been cheated and lied to! Kalenz: I knew it! [He slaps Lelien] Athe'lor: The gentle laborer shall no longer suffer from the noxious greed of Mr. Mali’ame! [The crowd cheers] Generic High Elf #3: Hey, what's that guy talking about? Deithwen: I don't know, but he's got a megaphone. Athe'lor: We will dismantle oppression board by board! We'll saw the foundation of big business in half! Even if it takes... an eternity! [The crowd cheers] Talimeracahe: [From behind pole] Gee, I don't know what Athe'lor's talking about, but he sure sounds convincing. Athe'lor: With your support, we will send the hammer of the people's will crashing through the windows of Mr. Mali’ame's... HOUSE OF SERVITUDE! [He speaks into Lyrell's face, and his eyes shoot into the back of his head. Then, they return to their sockets. Everyone cheers] Generic High Elf #5: Wow, all this supporting is making me hungry for impures. Generic High Elf #1: Hey, everybody! Let's go get to Cerulin. [Everyone cheers and run into the Forests of Fiandra, once again trampling Athe'lor] Athe'lor: Nobody gives a care about the fate of labor as long as they can get their instant gratification. [Talimeracahe walks up to him] Talimeracahe: That was a great speech, Athe'lor. You practically had them eating out of your hands. Vote Athe'lor!
Dohvi 622 Share Posted February 27, 2015 As the peculiar presentation given by Athe'lor begins to attract the attention of nearby Mali'aheral, so too does it attract another of the city's residents. Moments after Athe'lor has finished, a rogue bovine pushes through the crowd.Without turning to look at those gathered, the cow begins its speech."MoooOOOoo. MOOOooo."It then stamps its hoof twice on the ground, before strolling over to munch at Ikur's tabard. Shortly afterwards, the bovine continues."MooooooOOO."After once again stamping a hoof against the floor, the cow makes its way over to the glass case protecting Kalenz's note. It gives the glass a long slobbery lick."MooOOOOooo."With a final moo, the rogue bovine then strolls off in search of some grass.
The Lion 736 Share Posted February 27, 2015 Zeus builds a podium while the Questionable and bovine speak. He stands at the podium after the cow finishes and says his bit. . . Venerated Inhabitants of Haelun'or There are those that wish to walk within our walls without scrutiny. Those that wish to walk the Path of Purity. Although we should initially be weary of the ignorant elves, we can come to accept those willing to be educated. Those that are unwilling to learn purity cannot be helped and should be taught a serious lesson to eradicate their impurity permanently. Such is the way it has to be. Do yourself a service and select Zeus Ith'ael as your Okarir'mali. I promise to provide more housing that is both efficient and beautiful for the land and people to behold. I promise a clean city free of imperfections. And no good, dirty, rotten, book stealing lessers.
The Templar 195 Share Posted February 27, 2015 Evarir'ayla approaches, and gently pins an essay next to Ceriren's. The parchment is well-made, and gently glowing text declaims a speech for all to read. ((Contents are also written plainly in this spoiler.)) Mali'aheral, for a moment, please contemplate upon the meaning of our creed, the maehr'sae hihlun'ehya. It demands of us both purity of mind, and body. Following the cessation of warfare, Haelun'or has seen it's numbers swell once again. Even mali'ii, are returning to the streets, though devoid of maln and haelun. Herein one declaims his bid for the position of okarir'mali. One shall begin with a definition of the okarir'mali's role, which is to be the oversight of the citizenship process, housing arrangements, and the cleansing of the tarnished. Much like silver, those tarnished can regain their former lustre through immersion in the acts of penitance, much as one restores silver through boiling water. Yet water alone does not do this task, one also must follow immediately with the methodical scrubbing to ensure that no uncleanliness remains. Through this vigorous scrubbing, those tarnished by thought, or action, are restored to society as a whole. One must address, of course, the policy of liquefaction. Given that the Monks of Wilvan Adonan see to it that they merely rise again, does it truly further the maehr'sae hihlun'ehya? Or does it just satisfy a carnal, barbaric bloodlust commonly found in uruks? One would suggest an alternative to such. Those deemed abominations unto Larihei through birth, rather than being outright destroyed for the sin of those who spawned them, can still yet serve. If made okarir'mali, one would take those willing mali'ata, and put them to physical work for elthilln'cihi, therefore engaging them in an exercise that, unlike the liquefication, does not incite the lessers to acts of genocide. However, to stop these acts of vile impropriety in their source, one would also cooperate with elokarir'maehr, to strongly educate the mali'thilln'ii to abhor the affections of lessers. If they are not raised to strongly revere Larihei and her creed, we have performed our own extermination. *The parchment is signed Evarir'ayla Talar'onn*
