A few books are found in the taverns of Cerulin and Ker'nor

Over the course of my life I have witnessed the destruction of the Malinorian government, the rise and fall of the conclave, and the boldness of the high elves. With this knowledge I have decided to write a guide for future generations to prevent these disasters from happening again.

Corruption

Corruption and greed have long plagued the elves, so far I have yet to see a single long lasting government survive corruption. Despite the lack of a proven way to prevent corruption I can tell you how to spot and eliminate corruption and greed

The signs:

- A member of government dismissing other positions than declaring themselves supreme

-excessive propaganda for a personal belief

-the violent enforcement of these beliefs

-Officials who seemingly do nothing

- False accusations of crime or punishing the family of a criminal

The cure:

It is probably too late if any of the signs have been exhibited, but the preferred course of action is a peaceful protest. You cannot be called a murderous rebel if you simply ask questions or gain the favor of the majority

Morality

Sexual Morality

A lack of sexual morality has caused elves strife. The best example of the destruction influenced by the sexual amorality of elves is the attempted genocide by the White Rose. It truly terrifies me when I see young elves gallumping about without receiving the wisdom or knowledge of this tragic event.

The best way to combat this is to remain with your pure elven partner if you have managed to produce a child so a child has the experience of both parents. Also, stay out of homosexual relationships if you are fertile. A race cursed with infertility cannot afford such freedom.

Honesty

"Around elves, watch yourselves"

In a world of few absolutes and a lack of natural telepathy, your word must be true. To be caught in a lie will ensure a loss of trust, friendship, and social freedom. An honest person is given trust, friendship, and always an ability to act freely. It is simply better and easier to be honest, especially amongst races who remember long. Lets change that slogan.

Loyalty

No I am not saying be act like a dog. I am saying uphold your duties, beliefs, and relationships with a zealous passion. You gain trust and social freedom by being loyal.

Respect

All I have to say about respect is that you should respect life. A living being feels pain and happiness just as you do.

Civil War

Ikru should be the elvish word for civil war. For a race cursed with infertility we fight far too often. My advice to the existing and future generations is to view each other as family. If your skin is white, black, or tan but you live for centuries (and have but one other curse) then you are nothing else but a child of Malin.

War

To put it quite simply, elves cannot afford war. The amount of minas, resources , or equipment does not matter. Life will be lost and it may take a decades just to replace one functional member of society. Therefor we must practice diplomacy and trade. It is time we use the talent we have so long ignored and strive to monopolize the markets with quality elven products. Achieving such will give elvenkind worth as an ally which means elvenkind can have a say so in politics.

To you from Alirya Khen'aum

Just a side note, I support the vassalization of the elves under humans. I hope our races will share a brotherly bond.

Aeran hoots from Bannedom, nodding totally unsarcastically.  "Yeah, impurity is a big deal, yeah, Elves didn't JUST get out of that bullshit!"
