With the cessation of hostilities between Man and Elf, the time for definitive action has arisen. The Orenic sphere of influence must be extended to encompass this race, and its people must be quelled and tempered by the hand of Humanity.

The assurance of a stable and serene midlands border is paramount in the agenda of the Kingdom of Oren, and so for the sake of prosperity within, the following desire has been expressed to the Silver State of Haelun’or. The defiant High Elves have long been misguided by the corrupting power of their government; the Kingdom of Oren sees the State in need of nurturing and guidance, and is willing to offer this for the sake of both their continued existence and opulence.

This document, known henceforth as the Silver Binding, will absorb the independent State of Haelun’or under the dominion of the Kingdom of Oren. It will act as a subsidiary client state under the will of the Kingdom and abide by the following stipulations:

  1. The complete recognition that the former Silver State of Haelun’or is henceforth a client state of the Kingdom of Oren, known as the Protectorate of Haelun’or.

  2. The former Silver State of Haelun’or abdicating its independence and officially absorbing itself into the Kingdom of Oren as a province.

  3. The agreement to recognize the King of Oren as the supreme matter of authority within the Protectorate of Haelun’or.

  4. The agreement to abide by the laws of the Kingdom of Oren, and hold no exceptions or province-specific laws without approval from the Lord Justiciar.

  5. The banishment of the following persons from the Protectorate of Haelun’or: Kalenz Uradir, Rael Ith’ael, and Zeus Ith’ael. The three fugitives will be handed over to the Kingdom of Oren for execution.

  6. The agreement to make no foreign or agreements, pacts, alliances or otherwise without the express consent from the King of Oren.

  7. The complete destruction of any false religious icons, temples or otherwise that praise anything other than the Creator.

  8. The agreement to suppress any and all publications that may incite contempt within the Kingdom of Oren.

  9. The agreement to expel any persons declared as fugitives within the Protectorate of Haelun’or or any of its affiliate subsidiaries.

The Kingdom of Oren, as the protector of Haelun’or, will hereby agree to the following:

  1. To protect the Protectorate of Haelun’or from any internal or external threat that is also deemed a threat by the Kingdom of Oren.

  2. To ensure the stability and relative peace of the Protectorate by whatever means necessary.

  3. To defend the rights of loyal Elven subjects that live under the laws of the Kingdom of Oren.

  4. To appoint a Magistrate approved by the King to act as the regional subordinate of the Kingdom.

The obligations and promises stated in this document will be upheld indefinitely; any violation in obligation will cause an immediate termination in the treaty, and all its former obligations becoming null and void.

The following signatories hereby render this treaty agreeable and bind their respective nations under its terms:

The Kingdom of Oren

King Olivier de Savoie

The Province of Haelun’or

Silir’ilume

Andria Ith'ael blinks after hearing news of the declaration, while also breathing a sigh of relief. She merely states: "Similar to old times, perhaps... Alas, I would've preferred they had kept the title of Maheral." Yet it seemed the tribulation was far from over - in her mind at least.

"Only two more groups of brutes left to be subjugated." Cantonus says.

"It's actually sad, in a way, pitiable, to see an entire race thoroughly bent before another. After everything the Elves have endured I hadn't thought them to just curl up and accept yet another age of subordination.

A shame, really. They have practically immortal lives and yet they do nothing with it."

Drake says.
