The Lord of the Craft Application Format!

Hello applicant, and welcome to the Lord of the Craft! This page will guide you through applying to the server. Please take your time to read the entire post, skipping parts will only hurt you in the long run.

Here are some important things to know before you apply:

You need to read the server rules before applying - find them here.

This is a “PG-13” server and parental consent for anyone under the age of 13 is highly recommended.

Everything in your application must be your own work! Plagiarism could lead to being barred from applying to the server!

You may only apply as an approved race and subrace: Elf, Human, Orc, Halfling, and Dwarf.

If your application is denied, you need to wait a full 24 hours before re-applying, take this time to look over your application and correct the errors. If you need help, send a forum message to the AT that reviewed your application.

You may only post up to five applications each calendar month. It’s a lot of work to review applications all day, so make sure you feel your application is up to scratch before posting it.

Your character can't be royal/noble/child of a famous person, an important character, come from lands other than those in the server lore or have any form of magical qualities. If you wish to learn magic after being accepted, you may find a teacher in game.

You may not have an overpowered character. For example, your character cannot easily take down four opponents at once.

Your application must include server lore, such as a location of birth and where you live. World events would also work.

Your character must be over eighteen years old (once you’re accepted, you can have a character of any age). However, remember elves are not adults until the age of 50.

Players are allowed to be evil and commit acts that may harm other player’s characters. It’s very important that you are aware of villainy rules and follow them. If applying with a villainous character, remember it must make sense for the character.

Cliches are not recommended.

Only post completed applications. Work in progress applications are at risk of being processed with all rules still applying.

Here are few tips before you apply:

Be honest on your application, we don't care about your age and you won’t be denied for being too young.

Try to keep the application clear of spelling and grammar mistakes to the best of your ability. This will make reviewing process easier.

Make sure you read up on your race first and include lore in your biography.

Put time and effort into your application, in the long run it all pays off.

If you need help with anything, you are always welcome to message an Application Team member, Mentor, or the Lead (myself).

It's a simple process, you write your application (following our format below) and post it. Then we review it... If you're accepted, wait for your application to be Implemented(Whitelisted). If you're denied, wait the 24 hour and repost with your changes.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Arzon was born in mid earth around the time of the Great War. His parents Grangse the human and Crenes the elf went into hiding with him for 7 years. While down in hiding Arzon learned to fight and always dreamed about becoming a true hero. After 7 years in hiding his father came down with a sickness and died.

After Arzon and his mother, Crenes came out of hiding they lived on the surface for 3 years and continued life as normal. After a while Arzon decided to go on a journey by himself as his father said he did when he was younger.

Personality Traits: brave, hot-headed, curious

Ambitions: to become a hero

Strengths/Talents: swiftness

Weaknesses/Inabilities: staying quiet

There is no 'mid earth' in the lore of the server, only lands such as Aegis, Asulon, Anthos, and Athera. More lands can be found on the wiki.

 

The Great War took place in Aegis, in 1336-1339, while the current year is around 1500. Your character's age does not fit this time frame.

 

You biography is very short, and contains cliches such as 'wanting to become a hero' and 'father dying to an illness'

 

Staying quiet isn't much of a weakness, please come up with an actual weakness.
