Constructing the Great Vydrian Highway

________________________________________________________________

Productivity and unity are the hallmarks of the Orenian tradition. These values run deep, ingrained in the mind of every child and elder throughout the nation. In the south the reformed Akovian state bustles beneath a canopy of trees. In the east the Adriatic farmers and merchants continue to harvest and trade. In the north the frontier towns and capital of Siegrad have become among the most populated of Orenian settlements. These three provinces share many qualities of culture, tradition, and ethic, and yet none are properly connected by means of expedient highway.

While Savoie in the west is accessible by the Great Stone Road running along its eastern flank, Adria, Akovia, and the North are all isolated in their own ways. Noting this, the Dukes Franz Vladov and Vasili Vanir, and Count Karl Barbanov, met in Karovia and drafted a grand plan to unite the three provinces with a great eastern highway so that they may continue to flourish and prosper together.

Volunteering the men and resources of their respective feudatories, the Dukes of the North, East, and West, seek to forge a lasting bond of fraternity and shared prosperity with the construction of the Great Vydrian Highway. If you are a resident of Akovia, Adria, or Siegrad and the Greater North, and are interested in assisting in this grand venture, seek out your liege lord for information on how you can best volunteer your services alongside your Orenian brothers.
