Thanhium

According to the tinker post, there is an ingrediant known as crude thanhium. It is supposedly purified with gold studs, which allows leatherworkers to craft thanhium studded gear.

 

My question is, where can I find more information, relevant to crafting and acquisition, about thanhium?

 

Otherwise, I'd like to mention that I am informed that thanhium is supposedly acquired from mining lapis. Although my miner buddies state that they've never acquired said resource.

Isn't Thanhium just the LotC name for lapis?

And Lore-wise it is indeed lapis. But I don't know if lapis is the functional(mechanically with Nexus) form needed for crafting.

           Lapis and Thanhium are two entirely different things, as thanhium is actually pretty rare unless you know where to look. Think of it similarly to magegold and regular gold; both of them are different but they are represented by the same MC item. It is not a normal thing that just everyone has like lapis is. I would avoid really getting tangled up with it if I were you. Most people do not actually know how to RP it, and even people who actually use it in RP usually do not have much of an idea about how it works or what its effects really are.

I'm confused, is thanhium an RP item? Or can it be acquired via LotC plugin mechanics?
