The skies were clear as the two vessels came upon the new land. The ships of the dark elves, The Grey Lady, and wood elves, The Verdant Maiden, sailed alongside one another throughout their journey. Both peoples were weary of the ships of the other descendants that made their ways up and down the coast of the mainland. The two ships sailed east, eyeing possible locations suitable for settlement. But it was not the mainland that offered refuge...

To the south, an island came into view, one of dark oaken trees as high as mountains. The Verdant Maiden veered off and weighed anchor off it's coast. Smaller boats were lowered into the water bearing settlers that made for the island. But the dark elves would not reside here... No. They would continue on. The Grey Lady continued east past the new home of the mali'ame. The dark elves felt that there was something greater for them.

It was then they came across another island. This one perhaps more barren besides it's swamps and lizards. It's grass seemingly dusted with ash... The ship circled the island to look for a suitable location make landfall. It was then that they were blessed with another surprise.

Smoke rose from the peak of the volcano as small flakes of ash rained softly. Small openings revealed the magma below of the dormant beast. The ship hoisted its sails and dropped its anchor. The dark elves looked between the islands that flanked their port and starboard. This was it. This is where they'd make their home. They wasted no time lowering the smaller boats into the churning waters as they began to row to shore. In a shallow valley, beneath the shadow of a small mountain, tents were raised and dark elves began to fan out. They collected what resources they could and began to strike the earth for its materials. Puffs of ash rose as their feet tread the ground and before long they finally began to organize themselves.

Dak’ir sent out his orders. He’d sent the Archons to secure the island and make sure no threats were hidden in the bogs and to attempt to wrangle the lizards they’d seen as they sailed along the island’s shores. The Uuthilni clan began cutting stone and setting the foundation for structures. The blue haired clan working swiftly to secure homes and fortifications for their people. The Warhawkes were ordered to map the island and scout the mainland. Their speed and cooperation unrivalled, he knew the task would be simple for them and carried out accordingly.

It was here the dark elves would begin anew… Free from the caves their Ancestors had been stricken to. On this isle, the foundation would be laid for the first proper dark elven city, Igne'nor. And to their south, the towering volcano of Khel’igne would stand proud as a monument to the hallowed Ancestor. The dark elves would toil endlessly for the weeks to come. For the honor of their Ancestors.

"Yes, this will do nicely" remarks Thenias, as he stands over the volcano and admires the Island from a distance.
