A letter sealed in a water-stained, dirty envelope is hand delivered to Guy de Bar. Despite the dirtiness of the envelope, it bears the de Bar seal

Guy de Bar,

I sincerely hope this message finds you well, after all, you are family. I don't know how to quite put this, but I'll try my best. I remember a time of farmers coming into Leuvaarden with wide smiles plastered across their face. I remember a time of fancy parchment coming across my desk containing duties that needed to be done before I could head out to the brothel. I remember a time of family loyalty and commitment - However, I am no dog.

For the past few years, I have worn a grey bandana across my face. I've been known as 'Bobby', a vicious camel bandit apparently only capable of murder and demise. I kept this a secret for a while, my true identity that is... After a while, people no-longer see a face. They see a bandana that represents to them cruelty and thievery. If our paths cross in peace, I will explain everything, but for now I'll leave you with this. The civil war was started and I simply could not follow my Savoy blood. Some would now call me a vicious man, but I see no such thing in the mirror. Watching you Amyas savages run through the streets of the capital as if they were royal guards. I witnessed three of them, including your boy-wonder, 'Grim', beat a halfling to death just for talking back to them. Truly you have not commanded this? Truly you cannot have been unfazed by this kind of act? The Guy I knew was a generous man man who commanded respect from his troops; from his people. Look around you, Uncle, and witness what you have lost control of. Your troops no longer follow you, and have been tainted with the luxury of the capital. The war has torn our blood in half and hopefully you have a sound enough mind to recognize that. I won't ask you to retract from the war, that's too much to hope for, but if you'll consider your motives.

Sincerely, Gregor de Noir

((this was sent to Guy alone, treat it as such
