What is roleplaying?: Interacting with the IG world and other characters through the viewpoint of a character.

What is metagaming?: The use of OOC information that you wouldn't know IC, usually to aid your character.

What is powergaming?: When someone does something that is impossible or unfair - often without giving others the chance to react.

Character’s name: Arlan Caradoc

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human (Highlander)

Character’s age: 24

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Born in the Northern Mountains of Athera before it was eaten by a giant worm, the young Arlan and his parents fled Athera on a ship, eventually landing in Vailor, from there they travelled to the mountains near Haense, where they eventually settled down. However this long journey and the sights he'd seen instilled a curiosity in Arlan  as to what the rest of the world is like. So in 1517 he left home and journeyed south to see the world.

 

Yet before long the Dukes War broke out and, being in the Crownlands at the time, Arlan joined the Loyalist forces. During the next three years he fought in several battles and was present at the siege of Barrowyk. It was in the war that Arlan learnt to wield a sword and his exposure to several  trainee scholars who'd joined up led to him being taught how to read and write well (his parents only teaching him basic numbers and reading).  After the end of the war Arlan went back to wombling around the lands of Valior, which he still does to this day.

 

Personality Traits: Stubborn, kind, introvert, curious and a bit superstitious. 

Ambitions: To survive, preferably while making some money so that having survived he can settle down somewhere. He also wants to see the world.

Strengths/Talents: Proficient with both sword and bow, high stamina, intelligent.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Not the fastest runner, has a tendency to overlook minor details that can turn out to actually quite major ones. Can be stubborn as a mule at times. Fundamentally honest.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Gingery hair, with a short beard and moustache. Green eyes. About 6ft in height. In the middling ground between  thin and slightly fat. His most striking piece of clothing is his much worn and loved green jacket.
