A Warning From The Being In The Portal

Riondil would step onto the dais of the portal, looking back at it briefly before turning back to the crowd to address them. 

 

"The being of this realm is beyond comprehension. He will give you a task that will oft lead to the demise of those participating, all in the name of a riddle. There are rooms that seem innocent at first but when provoked or activated are deadly in nature. He is merciless and will not guide you on your quest. Before being sent from his realm shamefully in failure he gave me a warning, a warning to those that try again, to those that fail...none will be as lucky as I. Heed his warning, for his realm is not a place for the foolhardy. Ten of us entered, only three returned alive."

 

Riondil would sigh before stepping down from the portal. He'd look down shamefully not meeting the eyes of any who watch as he makes his way through the crowd.
