Ideas On New Rp Mechanics

Hey guys I have come here to present things and mechanics to make the server more enjoyable as itself.

 

IK the first two might sound bad but i think we can all agree on the lock picking part.

Also I am open to ideas in the comments so be sure to add on to this!

 

 

1: 

FAST TRAVEL MINESHAFTS 

When you rightclick the fast travel sign it would take you to an underground mineshaft. Everyone has a minecart but you can upgrade its speed with minas and buy better ones all together. RP Pvp would be roll play and both partys would have to accept to pvp above ground. And above ground can only have 2 people fighing 1 person and 4 fighting 2 and so on maximum to keep the game fair and no 20 v 1 orc. 

-_- Underground however, only 1 party has to agree on pvp. and the fair fighting rules dont apply. This is to keep people from fast traveling everywhere and have people learn to navigate through the lands of Vailor, seeing what it truly has to offer in beauty. Also fast travel will have players on edge, not knowing if around that corner could be a crew of bandits ready to kill you and steal your loot.

 

 

2: PVP does not evade RP

Only being on the server for so long ive seen countless situations where I am rp fighting someone and all of a sudden they gather a bunch of people on me and say pvp default in the midst of rp. Or I would successfully roll to stab someone in the neck and they would say pvp default to cancel it and either run away or win. It's very annoying and unfair. (Burketma thats you btw)

 

3 LOCKPICKING SUCKS BALLS

Idk if im the only one who thinks this but lockpicking rules are litterally gargling balls. "ho hoi u cant steal iron or anything of use and u can only take 1 thing from a chest and u need to have a valid rp reason for it!" *Sigh* I think we all know whats wrong with lockpicking so i wont say anything.

 

4 ROLLPLAY IS AWESOME

Im probably the only one who thinks this but i always enjoy roll playing as long as i am not vsing powergamers. who are like *i dodge the attack and slash u in the head instantly killing u* /roll  (rolled 20 / 20)

It brings a fair aspect to the game and always keeps you on edge. Also there are very good techniques belive it or not. Mine is constantly giving the player attacks that will require a whole emote to block. And if anything goes wrong you can always pvp default right!?!? -_-

Well... for number 2...

 

After an RP fight has started, a player can not change it to PVP, unless everyone involved agrees with it. Also, only if the character can fight back (i.e not being stabbed from behind, not knocked out, not handcuffed) can the player ask for PVP.

Oh boy oh boy, i can almost smell the veterans silencing a newcomer.

 

But still, that mineshaft idea might not be that bad, as for the others, the lockpicking is used only for rp items, as for the others, i'm not that sure...

That aside, from what I've seen in this thread is that you think LotC should be fair. Why?

 

If you're attacking a dude and that dude has a ton of friends, why should the friends have to sit out and watch their friend get hurt?

 

And rollplay is hardly "fair". I've hardly ever seen it be used in a rational sense, and much prefer the way things work currently.

 

Although, I do agree with you when it comes to lockpicking.

In those cases, you have to screenshot it and if you want, make a ban report. Now, this is only if he had started a fight in rp. If he didn't do a countdown as well, that would be bad.

Well he starts a fight in rp then says pvp default (this happened 11 times within 3 days tbh) and gangs up on me and kills me and i dont want to pvp default but it still is pvp default

If you read the rules it says 'once a combat method has been decided upon, it cannot be changed.' All fights have to start with Rp. You can call Pvp default unless people have oocly agreed to Rp the fight already.

Even if rp fight started? like do we have to declare it is a rp fight in ooc every time or what

You can't pvp without prior Rp. So yes, if you don't want people to call pvp on you, declare at the start of the fight you want to Rp it. If they consent, you cannot pvp default afterwards.
