Definitions

 

What is roleplaying?: The act of creating or being given a character, and trying to convey their actions and personality through text and your own actions. 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is acting upon information that is out of character, things that your character would not know about if it were real life and in some cases using that information to your advantage.

What is powergaming?: Powergaming is being bias towards your character and not being fair in roleplay, acting as if you are unstoppable with super human strength for example, rather than admitting defeat in some cases. As well as not giving the other party a chance to respond, and forcing your actions upon someone.

 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Ulric Asher.

Character’s sex: Male.

Character’s race: Human - Highlander.

Character’s age: 27

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don't contradict history.): After being born in Petrus with his brother they were both bought up by their father and mother. His mother was a simple labourer who assisted their father while he was smithing, unfortunately their father had a tragic incident where he lost his right forearm in the smeltery, however he has progressed to adapt to his disability, with the aid of his partner he became more skilled than ever. 

 

Their two sons grew up to be strong men themselves, living in the urban city working with their father. Ulric has more of an interest and started learning the trade, only at a basic level however both of them would go on adventures around the city, they were warned never to leave the walls however, the evil that lurked outside was never a welcoming sight. As they grew up to be older men their parents passed away due to natural causes, Ulric carried on with his father profession as well as he could while his brother joined the military, when everyone moved to Valour, Ulric made his way to the boats while his brother stayed to defend with the other soldiers. Ulric looked back towards his brother while he was securing his items, it was at that point that his brother was struck by one of the giant worms...

 

Ulric was the last surviving member of his family, he went on to Valour to continue his father's trade and supply the military with hopes to not forget his mother.

Personality Traits: Adaptable, Masculine, Stubborn, Kind and Caring.

Ambitions: Become a master smith and succeed his father, becoming renowned among the town.

Strengths/Talents: He is quite strong and skilled with a hammer due to his forging, he is also quite sociable.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Despite being strong, he is not very good when it comes to combat, typically relying on brute strength. He isn't very agile either.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Ulric is 6ft 3 and weighs 198 pounds. He has brown hair with a large beard. His skin is calloused from all of his work with a square body type with broad shoulders. His dark eyes are nothing like his hair and has a few burn scars on his arms.
