A Mouldy Journal

A mouldy old journal would lay on a dusty old table in a abandoned shack somewhere near Vanaheim it would read the following:

"I remember the sweet days of my childhood, the memories now scattered and burnt by the terrors i have seen. Woe to those who read my words of grief, for they speak the truth of what happened in Ayrith.

It all began in Vanaheim the day i attempted to settle there. I was met by a fool who called himself Tybalt, i foolishly accepted his offer for land and began construction on his keep, little did i know of the curse i would be met with on the year i began to build the keep. It began with small arguments between Tybalt and Eadune, they argued about who should lead the people of Ayrith keep...days later civil war broke out as Tybalt and Eadune began to fight for power. Lord Josiah Elendil later interfered and stopped the conflict by executing Eadune and Tybalt...this led to chaos as the town itself went mad. Fires broke out and citizens lashed out at one another, women...children...none were spared in the massacre. A massacre that no one knows of to this day...innocence lost...blood left unpaid for...

In my anger i ventured south to the caliphate only to be greeted by a brooding creature in metal armour with a crown of dark metal. I was misled to a warehouse where he bashed me in the face with a metal gauntlet...Guards came soon after and the "dread king" as he called himself was defeated. I was then thrown into a cell for questioning i was released shortly after...several days later a cult contacted me and spoke of someone named "Dragur" i have not heard of this "cult" since that fateful day but they might of been behind the heretical tomes found in the cloud temple.

I now wander the lands...lost and forgotten by my family and disowned by all i once considered family, now i question the true meaning of freedom. If freedom truly existed in this world why should we be witness to such horrors as those i have seen?

Section 2

My dreams have gotten worse.

Each night the nightmares get worse, i saw my memories of Ayrith at first...

Now my dreams speak of terrors the like of which would be considered heresy...tides of blood washed over Vahaheim, the new king lay dead in his throne and the city of Felsen suffered under the plague we thought to had been eradicated long ago...furthermore i saw the sky falling before my eyes as dark tentacles began to tear into our world. I woke up shortly after...my mind was numb and the hallucinations had gotten worse."
