Across Felsen, copies of this notice can be found pinned up to doors and to posts alike.

To the earnest citizens of Felsen, and to the subjects of Oren as a whole,

It is with a heavy heart that I must make clear I can no longer serve this great country as her Lord Steward. I needn’t explain the strain this position has put upon me, but the duress I have endured throughout my years of service have worn me down from the bright-eyed man I once was. What it is I’ve done was necessary, aye, but the extinction of my former countrymen has rid me of any incentive to carry on with this fight- and as a direct result, I have gone remiss of my responsibilities as Lord Steward.

With pride I can say that I have served Oren for over a decade in my prestigious seat. I am proud to recount the success of my work in it’s entirety, and I am proud to see that the nation that I myself helped to shape has finally chosen the path of reparation- but this does not mean I am without burden. Pride alone does not alleviate the pressure and grievances atop my shoulders, reminders of my service of considerable longevity. It is in both my own interest and the interest of my beloved nation to resign, and leave the mantle of Lord Steward to a man more capable than I. It is time at last that I embrace retirement after three decades of service in the Crown's name, but not a day will pass for the rest of my life that I forget what the fruit of my labor has bestowed upon this realm.

I pray for the success of our nation, even in the face of countless hardships. It is with the service of good men that Oren thrives and flourishes, and for our great country’s future I pray that men of the very same make will continue to maintain - and perhaps one day surpass - their forefathers’ excellence.

Signed,

Publius Bracchus
