Regarding Tribute

Trumpeteers from the temple blow a fanfare to get the attention of the citizens. A large elfling shuffles out on to the top of the temple stairs and waits for the trumpets to die down and the crowd to form up. The elf, or Mithius Dalma as most know him, takes a deep breath before starting his announcement!

"Good folk of Ker'nor, I recently saw a pair of chests labeled 'Iron Uzg Tribute Chest', this has me worried! We, the council of Ker'nor, have not approved of giving the beastmen any tribute whatsoever. We do not condone the act of supporting vile warmongering clans, and that is why it is demanded that whoever put up the tributary chests remove them as soon as possible. You have three elven days, my friend! May the ancestors guide you, good folk!"

Mithius ends the announcement with a bright smile and a merry wave to the crowd.

Elizabeth DeNurem, having just heard the announcement, raises her pencil and crosses out the 5th of the Grand Harvest, the twenty-first such crossed-out day on the calender.

"Well, at least we know how long it takes the Council to notice something inside their own bloody town." she says to her calender, which remains obviously ambivalent to such mortal matters. "Well, that's th' end o' that test..." she adds, before she goes to remove the chests, her face bearing an expression half-way between morose and amused.
