What is roleplaying?: The art of placing one in another's shoes and playing out their life.

What is metagaming?: Using information your character couldn't possibly possess to benefit you.  (OOC info)

What is powergaming?: The creation or use of overpowered items.

Edit: (Forgot about min-maxing!) Powergaming; Minimizing weaknesses and maximizing strengths, creating a something (Not necessarily a chracter) that is 'too good to be true'.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Elizabeth Goodwyn

Character’s sex: Female

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 22

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Elizabeth Goodwyn, born mid-harvest, was born into a small, simple life on the outskirts of Port Vydrik. Her father was a tailor, making some of the finest suits and gowns the town could offer, and her mother worked with her hands on the small farm they goverened, picking carrots and apples from the nearby orchard. Elizabeth and her family have never had a frugal life, having to save much of their money to purchase anything they wanted, but they always had what they needed. From an early age, Elizabeth took quickly to learning, exploring her father's small collection of books like it was a playground. By the age of 7, she could read better than most children, and at the age of 12, she'd read every book in their town's small library. She loved schooling, and finished her schooling by the time she was 14. At this point, her father began to teach her the art of tailoring, and she took to it quickly, having impressive leatherworking for her age. By the time she was 16, she was already bringing in money for her family by selling her hand made dresses and gowns.

When she turned 20, her father fell victim to the Plague of Vailor, seizing him and many other members of her town. Striken with grief, she boarded herself in her room with many books, spending the greater part of a year in the room by her self. For months on end, she wouldn't say a word to even her family, simply accepting her food and eating it in silence at the table. Her family began needing money, and her mother begged her to begin work again. On her twenty-first birthday, she reopened her fathers shop and began to work again. Her work suffered, however, as it reminded herself too much of her father. They made pennies compared to what they did before, now having to work extra for her food. After saving up for the better part of a year, after her twenty-second birthday, she decided to begin her life anew, leaving her families homestead and seeking something new in life. Her main ambitions being that she wishes to teach, or perhaps even work in a caravan, selling items and meeting new people, experiencing the world.

Personality Traits: (Before 21:) Ambitious, exciteable, full-of-energy. (After 21:) Quiet, reserved, keeping to herself. Still wishes to meet everyone she can and see the world, but at a slower pace.

Ambitions: Scholar/Teacher, or perhaps a trader or caravaner

Strengths/Talents: Knowledgeable, able to learn quickly; Charasmatic, able to talk to nearly anyone and get along with nearly anyone

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Grief over encumbers her at times, especially when she's reminded of her father; Doesn't quite realize just how bad the world really is, sees the goodness in everyone, even if there isn't any

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Height: 4' 11; Weight: 102 lbs; Long, black hair that reaches her waist in the back. Brown eyes, wearing a home made grey dress that reaches her ankles, linked with shiny goldish (but not gold!) colored metal to clasp together the legs, if need be.

- Your power gaming definition is semi-correct, but not completely there. Try to find another definition. Feel free to view other implemented apps to get an idea of what we're looking for, but be sure not to plagiarize!

 

- Besides mentioning the Plague, you don't mention much more lore. As for choosing a city, it's all about which nation you decide to be a part of. Being a human, you may decide to start off in the human capital of Felsen, or in the mercenary fort of Dunamis. It's completely up to you.

 

- We are a medieval-fantasy RP server. Your skin's uniform doesn't quite fit the theme of the server. I'd recommend trying to find another skin, or getting someone from our community to make one for you!
