ISTRIAN FEAST OF REAFFIRMATION; ca 1529

After the recent glorious victories upon the battlefield by the grace of God onto the Holy Orenian Empire, along with the recent abdication of both house and lands from Titus de Sola onto Guile de Sola, a grand feast has been arranged and shall be held within the Dour Watch keep and hosted by His Grace, Duke of Istria, Guile de Sola. The aforementioned lords of Istria are invited and expected to attend the feast.

 

Each vassal lord of Istria, while enjoying himself at the feast with wine and song, will be also be expected to reaffirm their oaths of vassalage to the newly appointed Duke of Istria and reunite under the de Sola banner colours of red and white to assure their lands, loyalties and allegiances are in check. With respect to the host, each vassal lord is entitled to and may bring to the feast; their first-born heirs and their wives. The guards of each Istrian House that accompany their lord, will be issued a station outside of Dour Watch to keep watch for vagabonds and uninvited ne’er-do-wells. During the feast there shall also be the announcement of an Istrian senate, an advisory body of Istrian nobles to advise the Duke on political matters concerning the Duchy and ensure the unification of Istrian men and women.
