The cracked sand beneath Tek’s feet was an annoyance to her. She had shed her shoes, opting to travel barefoot across the sand, even though it elicited scowls from her. The whipping winds stung her open midriff, carrying sand against her pale flesh: she had shed her shirt and overcoat as well, opting here to cover her thin bust with a wrap of leather and a shawl of light green. Her legs were clad in bagged pants of cloth; they clung to her only just, and as she walked, they rippled through the air like the swarming heat of the desert she moved across. From her mouth, words sliced through the air with tonalities of brutality and cruelty.

“My family has left me.”

She stopped and shook her head and splayed brown locks around her brow before offering a correction to herself. Her stride picked up in pace as she started, again, to move across the open desert. She pushed sand backwards with every step.

“No. I have left them.

Tek nodded to herself as she placed methodical step after methodical step; her soles pushed into the mixture of dry, unmoving earth and slick, shifting sand. Beads of sweat danced along her brow, and where heat would have once brought her to knee and then grave, it served to drive her thin form forward with greater ambition. The woman, ebon of iris, had set her hardening gaze before her. She watched the land underneath her feet pass as she crossed the lengths of the desert.

“My causes are not abandoned,” She murmured to herself with what air she had left: her march was taking a toll upon her. Her whispy form struggled to keep up with the demands she made of it. Her gaze turned upwards to the fading light of the Orcish sky; orange rays distorted into purple hues as the sun lay itself down to rest, shining beacons of fading light onto a distant and laughing moon.

She stopped. She had arrived to the oasis that she had met Eath before. Tek reached downwards and pooled the azure water, dimmed low by the cackling moon, into her palm. She splashed it upon her face.

“I have just chosen a newer path.

One with a newer family.”

Vhorr'kalan rests on his humble throne, a contemplative expression etched onto his pale features.
