GloriaPreussens 798 Share Posted November 20, 2015 Through the histories of Man, it is worth taking note of plagues and devastating diseases. Ones such as the Seventian Plague which ravaged Asulon, devastating over a third of world, to the Petrusian Plague which saw the city near annihilated. The cause for these is up for speculation, but careful examination of sicknesses more recent has identified a strange pattern. Sewer systems were created to drain away waste and unwanted materials deemed poisonous or deadly, yet this is in fact the very cause of such plague. Open sewage comtinates the air and water, allowing this sickness to attack and hurt people, and in extreme cases, entire species. While closed sewers do help to prevent this, if they open into a river that entire River and all the settlements down it will unknowingly become infected. Thus it seems that the only solution is to empty these sewers into deep underground reservoirs, or isolated pools. This will minimize contact, and allow for healthier populations as well as less sickness. While this may seem outlandish, I urge cities to have faith do this in order to keep their populations healthier, allowing more people to exist and breed healthy offspring.
