History:

Ser Vulpes Roke is a renowned knight, loyal to the Orenian Empire like the rest of his family. He has participated in numerous wars, valiantly and selflessly for the betterment of the Oren and the Human race as a whole, and played a crucial part in the outcome of many raids, skirmishes, etc. Not only did this legendary character perform chivalrous acts on the battlefield in the name of the Empire but he was also a member of various orders, such as the Holy Order of Saint Amyas, to which he commanded as an officer with a certain assertiveness and overriding vigour that raised the morale of his men and won many a fight.

Before the Duke’s War, his son, Athirius Aulpes Roke the Fourth arrived to Felsen, assisting the Dour Watch against the members of House Vladov during the two houses’ feud with one another - which would later break out into the aforementioned war. Shortly after the brazen Athirius met the late Count Arstan Bedell - GOD rest his soul - he was given the title ‘Master’ over Lord Bedell’s Barony, Thornewood, where a key garrison for Kaedrin was located.

Within the coming months following the transfer of land, Cantonus Chivay - GOD rest his soul - formed the Order of the Hallowed Flame. Athirius, being young but far from naive, was eager to take up arms and assist his fellow Kaedreni in the act of battle, showing not only his courage but also the  skill and initiative that his father once possessed. Unfortunately, a coup was put into action resulting in the untimely death of the former House Chivay patriarch, Cantonus which resulted in his kinsman, Hadrian Chivay, taken over Castle Wett and the Commonwealth of Kaedrin as Margrave.

Shortly after, following the end of the Duke’s War to which the loyalists were triumphant, the late King Guy de Bar - GOD rest his soul - ascended to the throne and knighted those that played a key role in fighting for the defence of all that Savoy and Oren itself stood for. One of these key figures to be knighted was none other than the current day Honourable Ser Athirius Roke. After a few years, Ser Athirius was given the Barony of Nessvelt within the Principality of Savoy by His Imperial Majesty, John of House Horen and named Lord of this province.

Lord Athirius Roke’s wife, Anwen, presumed deceased, soon returned from Aeldin alongside their four children - Morgryn, Athirius the Fifth, Artemus and Rhian- and settled within the Knight’s holding. Athirius the Fourth took on two brazen squires under him, Morgryn Roke and Richard de Bar, leading up to their knighting within quick succession of one another.

A few years passed before Anwen passed away, leaving the house in grief.

The Housing of the Roke supplies a splendid view of a mixture of excellent craftsmanship and architecture where many a feast and gathering has transpired. The province is in current ownership of its first Baron, Ser Athirius Aulpes Roke the Fourth whom is a splendiferous knight in his own right and is also Knight-Captain of the Savoyard division within the Order of the Red Dragon having fought in multiple battles and wars namely against the treasonous Adrians as part of the Duke’s War with incredible valor and courageousness.
