Black sky bug

The sky keeps going black for some reason in really weird circumstances.

I have tried:

- Reinstalling Minecraft

- Reinstalling GPU drivers

- Re-installing Java

- Re-installing optifine and testing my other mods

- Other servers

- Deleting all my texture packs and trying others.

That's... really odd. I can't tell you to try anything new because you've literally exhausted all options... damn.

 

I'm honestly inclined to say to try it without any mods on the latest version of Minecraft without texture packs, but those are kind of important. Could you try that once and just see where it goes? It looks like a visual conflict that has to do with a client mod.

What version are you currently running?

A client modification is conflicting with the sky textures. Uninstall one mod at a time until you find the one that is doing this or just don't use any mods at all. 

 

I can help you further if you give us a list of mods you are using.

Have you checked to make sure it is not a sky (The End) biome? (if it only occurs in one area)

I doubt that's the case, the clouds are still visible and its completely black. 

 

The end has a static around it's sky and no clouds are visible.
