What is metagaming?: Doing things based on knowledge your character wouldn't normally be able to have.

What is powergaming?: Declaring an action successful without allowing the one being acted upon to react 

 

In-Character Information

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Steven Vega, son of Jean and Stephanie Vega, was born in Adria in the year 1514. He had a somewhat easy childhood, with its fair share of bumps and bruises - until the Dukes' War. He lost his father at the age of 6, at the first battle at Peremont. His mother fled in fear, distraught by the loss of her loved one. Steven, left alone as a young child, was taken in by a mysterious man. This man never told Steven his name, and just requested to be addressed as J. J brought Steven to his home in Felsen, where they lived until Steven was 15. At that point, Steven asked J what his true identity was. J only got mad at Steven, sent him to bed, and disappeared by morning. Steven was once again left alone. Panicking, he ran away from Felsen to return to Adria, only to find out that it had been burned to the ground. Nowhere to go, Steven returned to Felsen to live in J's house until he was kicked out a year later. He had nowhere to live, so he began travelling. He first arrived in Lorraine, where he hid in the forests nearby at night. Eventually he was discovered, and he ran away once more. The only company he ever had was the stars in the night sky. This earned him a great fascination with the stars, and even a desire to one day reach them. After a year of running around with no permanent residence, he returned to Felsen, where he got a job as a less than mediocre baker. He was fired shortly, due to his utter incompetence at baking. He decided to sell most of the commodities that he had collected over the years so that he could afford a small house. With no job, he spent some years living in his house most of the time, afraid of the outside world. He mostly only ever came out to browse the market, then quickly return home. He spent his time inside reading - many books he read were about speaking and persuasion. However sealing himself off from the world also made him quite oblivious to recent events in history, as he would never listen to talk in the market. He now has to face his fear of the outside world, as he can no longer afford to live in his home. His origins have made him afraid to make enemies, lest they discover that he is an Adrian and have him executed - in fact, he tries to befriend just about every person he meets.

Personality Traits: Compassionate, sarcastic, anxious, helpful, social, fairly lazy, ambitious

Ambitions: Live a full life, build a tower to the stars,

Strengths/Talents: Somewhat fast, decent speaker, very flexible, knows how to live off the land, 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Absolutely incompetent chef, very little muscle, very oblivious, no sense of smell, severe anxiety
