ForeverGinger 148 Share Posted March 11, 2016 ><>< ><>< An elderly Kha' stumbles off the ship, his paws knocking clumsily against the dock. The island, the gates, even the scent carried upon the breeze was all new... Yet strangely familiar. The soft lapping of the waves as they passed against the rocky shore. The cry of the Gy'waka as they stalk the island, the grunting of the boars and the rustling of invisible beasts as they stalk through the low foliage of the jungle floor. He had been here before, yet had never set foot on the island. If the dreams tell true, then the False Priest has finally gone... He raises his pale blue eyes to the sky, reveling in fleeting warmth of summer. His eyes were all but useless to him now, nothing but the faint glow of the sun hung in the sky above him, but there were other ways of seeing. Sight and smell, touch and taste. The grand isle was peaceful, for the nonce. The ancient priest had sat alone in his long exile, yet walked with friends and foes long dead in his dreams and visions. The faint whisper of skin on stone, and he was over the gates onto the island proper. Not a soul to be seen, save one. "Sa'vi Tepah, eet has been aw whyle..." "When ees thees, na'ow that ghosts begin tuu speak?" "When hayve they ever been siylent?" "What wuus eet lyke, beeing dead?" "Lonelee... Ever hydeeng, ever running, one step ahead uuf Mukar awnd hees claws... Ketzawl regrets nawt beeing aybawl tuu return..." Ja'Ketzawl, The Moonsinger, has returned to the Kha'. Ja'Ketzawl has returned to his people. Ja'Ketzawl has returned home. ><><
TavernLich 324 Share Posted March 11, 2016 A single priest drags himself along the jungle floor, the sound of his raking feet coming to a sharp pause. He sniffed once. It’s a familiar scent. Really more of an odor, for him. “T’ah d’ed return t’ haahnt us."
BonesOfTheEarth 2252 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Ri'Zar, Aelkos of Religion, raised his head, curious. He had only known Ketzawl when he was a Do', his scent bringing back a small memory of the old temple. "Wat ees this.." He mumbled to himself. And despite his confusion, he could not help feeling slightly glad at this.
