How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: A passing thought and a google search, mostly.

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is creating a character to your liking that may be very far from one's real life personality and then stepping into that character's shoes to play the character as they were them, such as speaking as one might imagine they would, or performing actions that would make sense for the character.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using knowledge that was not obtained in roleplay and then acting on it or using it to get ahead in roleplay.

What is powergaming?: Powergaming as I understand is forcing a situation through unreasonable emotes and essentially failing to give the other roleplayer a chance to alter the situation. (Ex. Johnny grabs Julie and throws her to the ground, then unsheathes his sword and deals a killing blow.)

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Aerendyl is an older elf of Aegis that has seen the descendants shift from continent to continent. In his younger years he strove to combat the undead, but as he aged and the darkness followed he became uninterested in risking his life for a seemingly unachievable goal. While his outward appearance might make one think he consorts with the radical high elves, he finds contentment in remaining with the elves of the forest as it were in Aegis; he prefers the comfort of the forested canopy. When the elves sailed from Athera to Vailor, he again made his home in Laureh'lin. Because of his past dealings with the undead, he has many scars along his body and a cold air about him: thus, he has no wife or children. He's content to live among the elves he considers family without purpose until he finds one. (Kind of like a blank slate character mostly. I would prefer to have most of his development achieved through in-game RP.)

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Aerendyl appreciates the company of older elves, and finds younger and more naive elves to be somewhat annoying. He has a habit of smoking occasionally, as one might tell from his hoarse cough. He scorns all forms of dark magic.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Currently Aerendyl would like nothing more than to find a purpose for himself again, whether that be a protector of the elven state or a researcher at the Institute of Celein.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Aerendyl is particularly skilled in animal husbandry, blacksmithing, and archery.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) With his cool demeanor he sometimes struggles to create relationships, friendly or otherwise, without coming off as hostile initially. He has no knack for resource gathering like mining and woodcutting as he finds it relatively unrewarding.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Aerendyl has ivory skin and silvery-blonde hair. His eyes are a dark high-elven violet and he stands at a tall 6'5". He has many scars from the battles of Aegis.
