What is roleplaying? Roleplaying is immersing oneself in a character and behaving and feeling the emotions of the character they have envisioned.

 

What is metagaming? Metagaming is using information obtained from OOC for the character you are roleplaying. For instance if I read about Mental Magic on the wiki my character still needs to learn about the lore and spells in game.

 

What is powergaming? Powergaming is your character conducting actions that are not preventable or overpowered. For example if my character is a mage I cannot simply state I call upon lightning to smite you because then you will not have a chance to dodge it.

Character’s age: 34

 

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

Born to the child of Tanya Anya’onn and Yallr Anya’onn whom were leather traders traversing the land of Athera. She never had a permanent home because of her parent’s occupation but this lead to new experiences in discovering the world she lived in. She visited the Caliphate and the Empire Oren picking up on the languages and dialects they speak. She also noticed how others treated her because of her gender and her parent’s status as a lower level merchant either disregarding her opinions and ideas even though they were true. Mahrieal loved learning and wanted to know everything about anything from the different religions to customs and cultures of different races. On her visit to Laureh'lin where her kin lived she saw this magnificent library decorated in blossoming flowers and laced with vines that covered the entrance to the base of the trunk. She walked in and was surrounded by books filled with knowledge and stories of the realm. One book she picked up was “The Pursuit of Immortality” which details the tale of a young scholar trying to discover the answer to avoiding death. After reading the book she asked herself why anyone would want to live forever. She noticed how elves were the longest living race in the realm and asked why other races wanted to live longer believing it was a curse. Through her vigilant belief with the Aspects she wondered how this will affect the natural order and how the balance of nature will be tilted. She then placed the book where she found it and picked up another on titled “The Wandering Wizard” which she read vigorously. She was amazed by the stores of Malin and events that happened before she was born. Before she could read more about this topic her parents were disembarking through the gates off to their next destination to the Republic of Salvus.

 

On the beaten gravel roads sitting in their cart filled with fur and leather Mahrieal thought to herself about her traditions with the Aspects and the idea of settling down and creating her own library. Her mother caught her reading one of the tomes and snatched it from her hand. She said books are not for a lady and definitely not for fur traders. Mariel replies back that one day she wants to do more than sleep in old furs and pelts. Her mother was furious and threw the tome in a passing river ruining the pages. Mariel grew very upset and jumped out of the wagon. She ventured into the forests trying to get away from the restrictions of her old life.

 

Personality Traits: Mahrieal is courageous and curious. She seeks for knowledge and adventure but is also naïve. She is sometimes too trusting and believes in a lot of things even though it is obviously false. Mahrieal is however, very determined and zealous in finding her parents wherever they may be.

 

Ambitions: Mahrieal’s ultimate goal is to seek the wondrous knowledge of the realm and to prove to her mother that she is no mere fur merchant. 

 

Strengths/Talents: Because of her childhood working as a trader she is adept in negotiating and diplomacy. She is not very strong but believes words can hurt as much as a sharp ferrum blade. She is also very charismatic and beautiful trying to use those skills for her advantage. She is an avid reader and very logical. She can also craft leather armor which she sells for passages throughout Vailor.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Mahrieal is not very strong and her fighting skills is pathetic. She also is very bold which tends to get her into trouble. She is also naive.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): She is 6 feet and weighs about 115 pounds. Her green eyes are imbued with her beliefs of the Aspects. Her green clothing symbolizes her home with nature and long brown hair resembles of her kin.
